Unhappy with medical care
In our instance, Dr. Sakiliba Mines pushed costly diagnostic practices that are not widely accepted in conventional internal medicine, while overlooking the need for specific conventional care, covered by insurance, to diagnose illness. Unlike other medical practices, she did not routinely give out a checklist to the patient during visits, wherein the checklist lists disease symptoms, for the patient to check off, which would aid her, the doctor, in diagnosing disease. Yet, in our case, she blamed our family member, who was her patient, for supposedly failing to disclose a health symptom to her. Yet, Dr. Mines overlooked medical information that she was well aware of, as noted in medical records.

Dr. Mines utilized the NES Bioenergetic System on our family several times over the years. She has charged over $100 for a session. She failed to order the required, conventional medical screen for my loved one. It was not until my loved was hospitalized with a life threatening injury resulting from a life threatening illness that we discovered that my loved one was suffering with this illness. The hospital diagnosed the illness, yet, Dr. Mines's NES Bioenergetic Screen did not.

Dr. Mines is a tremendous healing professional. She help my 89 year old mother in correcting an ailment that other traditional doctors didn't have an answer for. She is truly wonderful.

A close relative of mine died from a treatable condition, after not receiving a proper referral from Dr. Mines to a specialist, although presenting to Dr. Mines with clinical symptom of a larger medical problem. Over several years, Dr. Mines gave my relative a clean bill of health, telling me and my relative that my relative was doing "great"; Dr. Mines told my relative that my relative was doing "great" several months before my relative died. Dr. Mines took my relative off at least one pharmaceutical medication for another medical condition, which if aggravated because of lack of medication, has been shown to worsen the larger medical condition from which my relative died from. Instead, Dr. Mines recommended over the course of several years, that my relative purchase supplements and vitamins from her office, which often totaled into the hundreds of dollars, per visit.

She missed a diagnosis evident from markers in several blood tests which she ordered over several years, which another doctor, a specialist, was able to a catch and diagnose. Because of her missed diagnosis, there was a delay in me being able to obtain specialist treatment for this condition. She also claimed to me that she can treat with the same level of expertise certain conditions, that specialists are trained to treat and chided me for going to specialists rather than her and discouraged me from seeking specialist treatment regarding several conditions. She also charged me to discuss blood test results, when other doctors in other practices don't charge me to go over the blood tests or other diagnostic tests that they take. In my opinion and experience, she is more focused on the business side of her holistic practice as it concerned me in terms of profits, which sacrificed her actual practice of medicine. I don't trust her medical judgement because of her missed diagnosis.

Wonderful doctor. Spends as much time with you as you need. SO THOROUGH. Highly recommend. I’ve never had to schedule an urgent appointment, so I’m not evaluating that.
