Terrible
I took my son to establish care with his new doctor. He is autistic. Makdah continued to talk to him like he would understand what he was saying. That is… Whenever he did talk. He spent most of his time reading my son’s chart on the computer Didn’t face us, didn’t ask any questions, except why are you here? I clearly said I’m here to establish care with a new doctor because we just switched to Northwestern. The nurses did much more than him. They were very nice. He didn’t seem to care at all . Barely asked any basic questions and just sent us on our way. We met with him less than five minutes. I will be finding another doctor.

excellent doctor...best post care received
Dr Makdah has been my doctor for more than 8 years. I saw him while at Christ Hospital. I had a stroke. I credit Dr Makdah for the excellent post stroke care I received. The type of stroke I had could have caused a poor outlook, but with DrMakdah's excellent care I have led a very healthy, post stroke life.

Worst Dr I have ever dealt with
If I could give a rating of ZERO stars that is what I would have chosen. Most condescending bedside manner I have ever witnessed. We had to follow up with a different Dr 2 days after seeing him as he never even examined my Mother and just gave her a prescription for pain pills after hearing her symptoms. Her symptoms definitely warranted further testing and he laughed in her face as he dismissed everything she said. I wouldn't let this Dr treat my dog let alone a family member again!

Wish there was an option for no stars!!! Very difficult to get through or have anyone from the office call back. Constantly, fills out forms wrong so there's a delay in prescriptions. Doesn't listen or care about the patients. Have no idea how this man is still practicing or has any patient following at all!!

This man isn't qualified to be called "doctor." He was my mother's primary dr for approx 2 years but she saw a NP who made home visits. Mom went into Palos Hospital in 2020 & she finally met him. She asked me to call him bc he wasn't answering her questions. I was keeping track of her tests. I asked him about the bilateral pleural effusion on her chest x-ray...he hung up on me! He pushed to send her to a rehab center but I was telling him she needs to see a hematologist first for tests while she's in the hospital (she has macrocytic anemia and had 1 unit of blood and an iron infusion while there). He adamantly refused despite her low platelets, odd blood cells, & my requests. Makdah yelled at me. I finally got one to see her that she saw a few years prior. She was given a dx of myelodysplastic syndrome by the hematologist. I had to fight him to get what mom needed while she was under his "care." Makdah is a megalomaniac who does NOT care about patients. He disgusts me a year later.

Agree with previous reviews about him. Inhumane, lack of bedside manners, ill equipped to provide any level of quality care. Talks down to people when he doesn’t read charts and records and seems clueless. Refuses to look at past failures and is smug and unprofessional . Can’t believe Palos continues to use this Doctor. Truly horrible experience if he is your assigned doctor . Do whatever you can to get someone different or avoid Palos if you can.

This man in inhumane, he doesn't care about patients. Had blood test done. To get results he insisted I had to come to his office, wind chill was like 20 below! Couldn't breath in that cold they could care less. In the meantime my cardiac doctor nurse called gave me all the numbers over the phone and then put a copy in the mail for me!I Makdah just wanted to charge me for another office visit!

My brain-injured mother when she was admitted to the hospital with signs of respiratory distress; Dr. M was on call. She suffered pneumonia twice in the previous 8 months and had similar symptoms. Because of her injury, she is unable to speak. Dr. Makdah released her without doing the correct test and insultingly commented she was coughing "for effect." 4 days later she was admitted and spent 17 days due to complications. I'm appalled at the lack of competence and care by this doctor. Shameful!

Dr Makdah released my family member from the hospital by saying he thought she was "faking" pneumonia. She is a brain injured, non-verbal victim of a botched back surgery who has no ability to fake anything. Dr Makdah is arrogant, insensitive and made a bad medical decision. My family member was readmitted 36 hours later and while in Palos Hospital contracted MRSA and a yeast infection. Finally, she is on the road to recovery at Loyola Medical Center- no thanks to Dr Makdah.
