Dr. Samantha Feder, MD

I have been going to Dr. Feder for a long time and used to feel that she was a great doctor. Now however, she is bad. She couldn’t give me any details about new research on HRT and referred me to someone else. She said she was concerned that I might have plaque in my arteries that would loosen if I started with HRT but refused to give me a referral to a heart specialist. Finally, she promised to make a special request for a medication for hot flashes but never provided any evidence (which they asked for) so it was routinely denied. I am very disappointed and will probably have to change doctors. I can’t believe how poor the care was.

Dr Feder is absolutely the worst doctor you would ever want to be a part of your birth. She made me feel awful for simply asking a question about a procedure she was about to implement, and shamed my husband for asking a question. She also made my doula cry. I legitimately do not understand how this doctor still has a job with her bedside manners. She really is the worst doctor I have encountered in my life.

Stay away! Run! Everyone knows how bad this OB is - including doulas who told us to stay away from her. We had a horrible experience during an appointment with this OB. She does not care about you and will treat you like a nobody. You do not want her to show up when you are in labor.

The only reason I am writing this review so that others don't fall into the same situation we did. She is the worst doctor we ever met! Let me start by saying we didn't pick her, she was in the group with our doctor and was on duty when my wife went into labor. If it happens to you, please demand a different doctor right away. From the moment she walked in it was clear she didn't want to be there. She doesn't care about you or your concerns, very dismissive, downright mean and openly sarcastic. We are convinced if it wasn't for her we would have had a completely different experience and my wife wouldn't have lost so much blood to the point where we had to do blood transfusion. She was barely there when my wife was pushing and when the baby's head did finally come out, she told my wife to stop and went on to put on her gown while putting our baby at risk and leaving my to hemorrhage for over a minute. Her oath means nothing to her! Wish we never met her!

Dr Feder was amazing. I loved her and her whole team. I had pushed for hours and wanted a C section. She brought in another doctor so they could both give me their opinions on what my options were. They encouraged me to keep going and within 30 mins my baby was born. She was such good vibes, super friendly but also really great at explaining the process. Thank you so so much.

I am still traumatized by my birth experience with Feder. She made me feel like if I didn’t push hard enough I would get a c-section. She was not supportive, she was anxious. She was Mean. The delivery was a disaster. I hemorrhaged. She left me hooked up to a blood pressure machine, covered in blood and left for the night. She did not give me a transfusion for two days. Dr. Feder does not enjoy what she does. She does not like dealing with pregnant women and their partners. Having her as my doctor was one of the worst experiences.

Our experience with Dr Feder was outstanding . She was kind , straightforward, best bedside manners, full with care and extremely professional. She was constantly few steps ahead in the game but was patient and encouraging .

At my annual exam,I informed Dr. Feder that I was not sexually active, I am a senior citizen, however, I was tested for several STD's which were not necessary. My insurance was billed for these tests and I was billed for a copay from the lab. After many calls to my insurance , the lab and Dr. Feder's office, I paid the copay to the lab under protest, since they were going to send this bill to a third party collection agency.

Horrible doctor! I went to her in search of a gynecologist. She was indifferent and apathetic but the worst part was that she didn't do a pregnancy test when she should have and marked me not pregnant on my mammogram prescription. A DAY later I received a positive result from an OTC test.
