Dr. Samantha Michelena, MD

Dr. Michelena was dismissive and condescending throughout my entire appointment. This is my third pregnancy, so not my first time around Obstetricians. I have a high-risk pregnancy and it was my first time seeing her for an OB checkup though I had seen another provider in the office a couple times before. She walked in a made it clear very quickly she had not read my file or health history. She was rushed and kept questioning the decisions the previous provider and I had agreed on. She was dismissive about my history, complications and concerns and it was clear that all she cared about was getting done as soon as possible. Her bedside manner was arrogant and uninterested. She made me feel rushed and honestly crazy for my concerns. I was extremely upset after the appointment. Complete waste of time. Will not see again and would never recommend.

Dr. Michelena always provides exceptional care. She is extremely knowledgeable, trustworthy, and treats her patients with compassion and kindness. I would highly recommend her to anyone!

She cared, understood my dilemma. And educated me on DIY medication.

Dr. Michalena is such a wonderful listener and problem-solver. I value the way she introduces new strategies to meet my needs.

Dr. Michelena has a very good bedside manner and does a great job of convincing you that she’s caring and competent. She isn’t. When I started having severe pain and other problems after a hysterectomy she performed in 2022, she seemed completely clueless. I had to Google my symptoms and tell her what to do. I’ve had to have 4 corrective surgeries (and counting) to fix what Dr. Michelena did. My health and life are shattered. I don’t trust her or Cheyenne ObGyn and would not recommend them.

Dr. Michelena is very knowledgable, personable and caring. she listened to and addressed all my concerns.

Dr Michelena was on time, personable, gentle and offered appropriate humor and good care. It was apparent that she reviewed my chart prior to seeing me.

She cares about my long term problem!

My questions were cut off by Dr. Michelena. She would cut me off with the phrase “just enjoy the process” over and over again. Yes, I want to enjoy the process, but I also had concerns that were not being taken seriously. I was not listened to. Health advocacy and patient education are so important, but these did not appear to be valued in this appointment. Would not recommend and will not be going back.

She listened very well. Related very well and tried to get to know me.

She goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. She takes time to answer any questions you may have. Cheyenne is very lucky to have her as a provider.

This was a while ago, but I have an anxiety disorder and needed an IUD placed. I was very nervous, bordering on a panic attack and wanted to get something less invasive. Instead of respecting that, Dr. Michelina scoffed, and told me teenagers came in and got it done so it would be fine for me and I needed to hurry up and get it over with, as she had other patients. This made me more anxious, as I felt pressured to do this and it made me feel unimportant. I wasn't even in there that long. I refused the IUD still, as I was very uncomfortable at that point. I was able to get it placed at a later date by a more patient and understanding NP at the same office. I didn't appreciate the terrible bedside manner, lack of patience, and obvious lack of empathy and care I experienced with Dr. Michelina that day.

I had her while I was pregnant with my last baby. She is amazing! Really down to earth and friendly. She listens to your needs and make sure she's there for you when you need her. Love her!
