Horrible bedside manner
Was dismissive and rude during consultation. Quick to give cortisone shot. Horrible experience. I’m disappointed because she was highly recommended

Professionalism, empathy and kindness
Dr Muhlrad, Jane, Martha and the team treated my mom and me for several years. The incredible sensitivity, understanding and kindness when my mom made a desperate decision and no other physician would even see her, will always make this team precious to my family. My own treatment was always performed with insight, gentleness and flexibility, based on my specific circumstances, not limited to my hand/wrist conditions. This team treats the entire human being! Martha currently and Lilly before her, rounded out this special unit of professionals kindly, supportively and with understanding. The office staff in its entirety is wonderful and professional. Everyone goes far beyond “office policy” to take care of fragile hands and fragile hearts. Our gratitude knows no bounds!

Horrible experience. A little standoffish. Not very compassionate. I am not happy with the results of my carpal tunnel surgery either. Not to mention the huge black and blue from under my fingers down to the middle of my forearm afterwards. I was wrapped in a huge ace bandage as well and thought I had actual open surgery not Endoscopy. Another Dr. preformed my other hand and I did not experience anything like that at all. I left with a tiny square bandage on my wrist. (Note- that had was in much worse condition than the one Dr. Muhlrad did- I had to change Dr.s due to insurance changes) I am now having issues with numbness that was not there prior to the procedure. I was blown off stating well it can happen, give it time, could be due to your back issues...etc. There was NEVER numbness or anything like it on that hand . So basically its oh well to bad. Will never go back to Stony Brook Ortho or this Dr. I know 2 other people that had horrible experiences with Stony Brook Ortho.

She made sure to numb my hand and inject very slowly so as to cause as little pain as possible. This will be my third time back to her and Not to the big, well known doctor that caused me needless pain!!!
