Never Had This Experience
Appointment was rushed, office staff was trash, Doctor just pushes computer around, tells you see you in 3 months, you don't do anything for your diabetes compares you to other patients who have it better or worse than you. doesn't adjust insulin to meet how much sugar you eat, the only thing that matters is a thyroid gland about the size of small pea. Don't know what others see in a professional who doesn't value life because clearly your life depends on it if you have a chronic illness beyond your control. The key to medical care is not to dog the patient down to make them feel guilty as if they are doing something wrong. Too bad that all the endos in Charleston are from foreign countries. Problems explains why they' bedsid manner sucks with patients. You can' find no good American doctors. My advice is to find a nurse practitioner or actual primary care doctor who does the same stuff that an endo can do. Don' see a medical professional who you don' like or likes you.!!!

I have been seeing Dr. Sankari for, I think, 7 years. She was the first, and only, endocrinologist I had been treated by. She is very professional, up-to-date, and strict in her treatment. My first A1C reading with her was 10.? As a TypeII diabetic I was in a very poor state of health. With her treatment and guidance My last A1C reading was 5.6. I no longer take meds for my diabetes. I admire and trust Dr. Sankari and her medical knowledge.

I am very comfortable with Dr. Sankari. She answers all my questions & explains her opinion. She is very straightforward and seems to have reviewed my records before each visit. I would recommend her without reservation to anyone who suffers from Type 2 diabetes.

Very condescending to patients and medical staff. Does not take adequate time to explain diagnosis or treatment validity. Save yourself some time and find a reputable endocrinologist worthy of treating your all important health because your life depends on it!

I started going to dr Sankari after spending 24 years with another endocrinologist. I have congenital hypothyroidism and I’ve been with her now for about 6 years. I think she is a wonderful doctor and has always taken time to address any concerns. Her staff is always easy to talk to as well!
