Very thorough & helpful
I had psoriasis most of my childhood. While it was managed okay as I was growing up, the older I got there were more flares and then subsequently joint pain, especially in my feet. After 2-3 years of different creams, meds & injections it grew steadily worse. At that time I was treated by a dermatologist and not a rheumatologist. My FNP referred me to Dr. Khalique where the diagnosis of psoriatic arthritis was confirmed and I was started on an injection for that. Unfortunately even with a good result, my insurance refused to pay for it so Dr. Khalique keep trying until one was found that my insurance would cover and would give a good result. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Khalique with her willingness to listen and help me. I am more active and feel better than I have in years. I highly recommend her to anyone that is having similar concerns.

I went to her for my joint/body pain. She ran blood tests, and said that while my blood work showed rheumatoid arthritis, my joint/body pain was not typical of the diagnosis, and that she didn't know what I had. She had me do an MRI to look for ankylosing spondylitis, and promised that they would take my insurance there. Come to find out, they were out of network, but didn't tell me. Luckily, I didn't have to pay. Her bedside manner was non-existent and she acted more like a stuck up high school athlete than a doctor. She spent more time laughing and cutting up with her nurses than she did with me, her patient. She was booked up months in advance, and I couldn't get in for a follow-up until months later. Her receptionists were rude as well, and even after I called to cancel my appointment because I'd gone elsewhere, I kept getting notices in the mail that it was "time to schedule my next appointment!" Ridiculous.
