Went for a bulging knee 10/2016 several months after fall. Was told come back when it's bulging. If you do a Google search for chronic knee pain with lateral bulge the first thing that comes up is to do an MRI to check for cyst related to torn meniscus. She did an x ray, and of course it found nothing. I have finally found, after suffering for two years, that I tore my meniscus during fall & it leaked, creating a cyst, which is what was causing the bulging. I now need surgery to remove the cyst
