I recently saw Dr. Book for a Mohs procedure, as a new patient. Receptionist, Patricia, was consistently pleasant, courteous and helpful during scheduling, reminder call and in the office. She gave me confidence that I would be in good hands, and I was. Dr Book and his nurses were kind and informative. They were efficient and obviously skilled in their technique. While no procedure is 'fun', I had a very positive experience and would definitely recommend Dr. Book and his team. So glad that I found them.

If you're looking for an experienced surgeon with a calming bedside manner, a professional and caring staff and one whose procedures leave minimal scarring by using the best equipment and whose access during any follow-up questions or concerns then look no further than Dr. Samuel Book. I've had several procedures by other practices and Dr. Book's practice is far and away the best.

I had a melanoma en siti removed from my cheek. First time for this kind of procedure. All the staff were friendly and reassuring . Dr. Book explained exactly what he was going to do and relieved much of my stress. The nurses were great and explained aftercare in detail. The procedure went well, very little pain and the healing is amazing. I would recommend Dr. Book and his staff to anyone needing similar care.

5/30/23 was my first visit to see Dr. Book (in his Trumbull, CT office) for a Squamous cell carcinoma on my right leg. Not knowing what to except was pretty stress full for me so my anxiety was very high. Tracey, the nurse who assisted Dr. Book in the procedure was fantastic. I explained to her my reaction to needles and my technique to deal with them (Lamaze breathing) and she assured me that anyway I felt comfortable dealing with this was fine with not only her but the doctor as well. She kept offering a reassuring voice durning the procedure keeping me calm and comfortable. As for Dr. Book, he was fantastic! He was very empathetic and reassuring the entire time, taking care of everything I needed done in a very calming, professional and efficient manner. He explained everything he was going to do and was doing while he was doing it and went over my after care in detail. All I can say is if you need a procedure like this please do not hesitate to give Dr. Book a call.

Dr. Book is very approachable, kind, knowledgeable and caring. He made me feel heard and took excellent care of me.

I had two squamous lesions removed by Dr. Book this week. One was very small and the other medium sized on my right cheek. He removed both in a single cycle. I just removed the bandage and the wound looks fantastic. It may take a long wait to get in to see him. But he is very much worth the wait. I highly recommend him!

From the moment I entered the office, I was greeted and the staff introduced themselves. I was nervous about having the basal cell removed from my ear but my anxiety was relieved by the team that explained everything to me. Dr. Book was precise and his expertise in this field was was evident. They were working together like a well-oiled machine. I highly recommend this group. I am so disgusted with Dr book and staff!!!! Vey unprofessional and not informative about pre or post treatment!! I ended up in the ER with abnormal swelling to my face after he treated my cyst on my forehead, which was never told could happen or that it was normal. And to add to the chaos my results were told by a unsympathetic receptionist, not even the doctor himself!!! Do not go to his practice, heed my warning !!

I can"t believe this doctor has 5 stars! He scarred my face when removing a cyst and was extremely rude. I don"t usually rate any doctor but I thought people should know about this doctor.

Dr. Book is a competent, kind, compassionate physician. He strives to make each and everyone of his patients' relax and be informed of his/her diagnosis and procedures. His winning personality makes him one of the best around for sure!

I have seen Dr. Book for over 5 years for 5 procedures for basal skin cell cancer removal. Two of my surgeries involved 2 tattoos , Dr. book was very respectful of my body art and very patient with his closure of area that required no touch up work. I am very greatful for Dr. Book and his skills for diagnosing and removing the skin cancer, the wait time between the removal and diagnosis is long but one must realize that patience means the medical issue will be removed.
