Dr. Samuel Buonocore, MD

Dr Buonocore, his Staff, and Associate Colleagues are Superb. My experience with Dr. Buonocore aside from him being very personable, is that he is very focused and thorough. To this I must also add insightful and intuitive. As a professional musician with a concern regarding some tendon pain and loss of strength & mobility in my hand. He immediately recognized I had an additional underlying condition and suggested that I see a neurosurgeon for possible nerve compression in my neck vertebrae. This literally saved me from a progressive, permanent debilitation. Later, Dr. Buonocore helped me again with a surgical procedure to correct a disfigurement to my forehead and eyelids which had resulted from a previous injury. His skill and treatment is truly masterful.

Dr. Buonocore performed 2 carpal tunnel release and thumb shealth surgeries. He was phenomenal . His team was fantastic before, during and after my procedures. I could not have asked for a better experience. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart!!!

Dr. Buonocore and his APRN, Laura Beveridge did not know how to properly care for an incision that opened after surgery. They continued to carve a hole in my abdomen instead of applying the proper medicine to encourage healing. I am left traumatized by this deplorable “care”.

He is truly the best very friendly and professional. He cares for his patients.

I have had multiple surgeries performed by Dr. Buonocore. I am a breast cancer survivor and had reconstruction surgery done by Dr. Buonocore. He listens to your concerns and does wonderful work. I recently also had locked finger & carpal tunnel surgery on my left hand and it healed quickly with little scaring. I would strongly recommend Dr. Buonocore as not only is he an excellent surgeon, but his staff is also outstanding.

Pay attention on the facts.

I’m concerned about the level of follow up care .. we thought he explained everything very well .. it’s only been 3 plus weeks since the facial surgery with titanium plates inserted to repair broken bones. But I can’t believe that after a 3.5 hour surgery .. we were told we didn’t need another follow up visit .. we saw another practitioner at one week .. and when asked when was our next appointment we’re told we didn’t need one. Still numbness in left side of face and a hard lump under the eye where one plate was placed

The most amazing experience when first meeting him. He listened to all my concerns and answered any questions I had about my surgery. I was very nervous but walked out feeling confident and ready for surgery. He is one of the best Dr's I ever had. Even when going back for a follow up or having a concern he makes sure he answers your question and gives you reassurance. He doesn't sugar coat his answers and tells you what you want to hear or rush you away to get you out the office. I would recommend him for surgery anytime!

Dr. Buonocore is an amazing doctor. He has a very pleasant bedside manner and he shows care and concern for his patients. He had to fix an issue I had from a previous plastic surgeon and when he did the procedure I was awake. He kept asking to make sure I was Ok and not feeling any pain. Times I did feel pain he made sure to give me more numbing meds. He was on time, spoke to me about the procedure and answered any questions I had. Great great doctor. I feel like I should have went to him to begin with because then I wouldn't have had any issues at all and everything would have come out right!

I can't say enough about Dr. Buonocore! He's kind, caring, he listens and explains things thoroughly. He is a highly skilled surgeon and makes you feel like you are his only patient!

Dr Buonocore has been my PS since I had my 2017 Mastectomy with auto-reconstruction. He is kind and very generous with his time. I just had Diep-Flap Reconstruction on Dec 2, 2019 with him and his team and I couldn't have asked for a better result, surgeon, hospital or team to do this major surgery for me. He genuinely cares and listens to me and never makes me feel rushed at appointments. If I could give him more than 5 stars, I would! I highly recommend Dr. Buonocore, his team and his staff, as well as St Francis Hospital and Medical Center!

I was referred to Dr. Buonocore to perform reconstructive surgery after a bilateral mastectomy. Other medical providers described him as “really nice” and “extremely competent.” When I first met him, he focused on me and answered all of my questions. He was not rushed or anxious to move on to another patient. A month after the surgery, I am very pleased with the results. Dr. Buonocore is a highly-skilled surgeon and provided compassionate, patient-centered care.

Dr. Buonocore is a very professional person, he make you fell comfortable since first time. He explain steps to step what he going to do. You could tell how professional is he. He did my breast reduction and he did exactly what he told me he would do. His staff are a very nice people who make you fell comfortable and liable. Monica is a very nurse ever. I recommend him very highly.

Dr. Bounocore was one of the sweetest doctors I've ever met. He went out of his way to make us comfortable. He performed a very complex surgery on my husband and within weeks my husband was feeling so much better. Thank you Dr. Bounocore.

"Dr B. Thinks he is the only plastic surgery in Ct that is the best". Hate to let you know that you only have 8 year experience. I found 25 plastic surgeons in Ct that have a lot more than you. You need to work on your bedside manners, and learn to listen to your patients. I am very disappointed with Dr B. My advice is to look before you make a decision.

Dr. Buonocore performed carpal tunnel surgery on both my hands yesterday and I am extremely happy with the results. I had my first full night sleep in a long time. No more horrible pain waking me up in the middle on the night. I'm a very satisfied patient :)
