Dr. Samyuktha Ramavaram, MD

Dr. Rama was recommended by my PCP as my previous Gastro was closing her practice. I am quite familiar with my condition and its issues and treatments. In the past, I previously called Dr. Rama’s office about an intestinal infection and got a callback two weeks later, asking if I still needed help, though the issue had resolved itself. I was frustrated by the delay and unnecessary follow-up weeks later. During a prior consultation for a follow-up colonoscopy, Dr. Rama said I had other problems and needed surgery immediately. I was surprised and disagreed, as I feel fine, have no symptoms, and can continue my daily activities without issues. Dr. Rama claimed I had fevers, vomiting, nausea, and bloody bowel movements, which I denied. I am functioning well and maintaining a productive life despite what Dr. Rama suggested. I no longer hear back from her practice, as if I am insignificant. If I could find a compassionate doctor like the one, I had before her, I would switch in heartbeat.

18 polyps removed, some very large, At home, I had profuse rectal bleeding with large bloody clumps. After the bleeding filling four toilet bowls, Called the referred number on release papers to report the problem of the gushing blood and bloody clumps. Put on hold for several minutes. Operator returned to the line, she told me she would transfer me to triage. Transferred to triage, was again placed on hold. After being told that some bleeding was not uncommon, and as I sat on the toilet bleeding I again explained the exigent extent of the bleeding, I was told if I was concerned I should proceed to the ER. Asked friend to take me to the ER. Bleeding continued, I became weaker, more disoriented, and tried to make my way to the car with large bloody clots rolling down my pant leg. Couldn't get to car, friend called 911, taken to ER full code still bleeding throughout night. New dr. new colonoscopy next day. Hospital 4 days.

Dr Rama is wonderful she explained everything very well and such a great staff the girls there have been wonderful Dr Rama has really help me with my crohns and im so happy and thankful for her .

I received lack of compassionate care from this Dr and her nurse. I have severe anxiety disorder, and her nurse had me in full blown panic attack the day before the colonoscopy/endoscopy. Dr never called me with results of tests, my PCP had to call them to get them.

Absolutely awful! No compassion if you are in extreme pain! Triage nurses could care less too!
