Dr. Sanaa Arastu, MD

Dr. Arastu is so wonderful and amazing. I’ve had three other gastroenterologist before and none of them have compared to her. She is knowledgeable, caring, takes her time with you and cares about your overall health. Could not recommend her more highly – she would be lucky to be able to be patient.

She wants to know what caused cirrhosis to see if it can be reversed. She also observed I was a little slow snd confused and ordered the medicine to help it. She prefers to own all aspects of my liver and GI issues which is wonderful. Before I felt like no doctor could treat anything but his area of specialty but didn’t worry how it affects other areas. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone!!!

As a long-term patient of Dr. Arastu's I would recommend her to absolutely anyone. She is unbelievably smart, straight forward, kind, and professional. My family has felt extremely lucky to have Dr. Arastu in our corner and she's even fallen victim to my mother's house plant gifting. 10 out of 10.

Dr. Arastu is very caring and thorough, and super smart. She went out of her way to make sure I got a sample of the prep for my colonoscopy because it was not covered by my insurance. Reading these other reviews, I'm confused if we saw the same doctor. For my first visit, I was called two days before and told that my appointment was cancelled because Dr. Arastu had a procedure that day. New appointment was scheduled 1.5 months out. Then she was an hour late to the rescheduled one because of another procedure. Frustrating, but I understand things happen. Overall, Dr. Arastu was very knowledgeable. However, throughout my visits and on the day of my colonoscopy, she was not compassionate or caring. Her bedside manner felt cold and clinical. After my procedure, it took me multiple days of calling to get the results - I was told repeatedly by her staff that I would get a call back once she read my results. In the end, a different doctor had to do this and prescribe me medication because she never got around to it. I understand she was probably busy, but I would recommend someone else if you want to feel like your physician cares for you.

Dr. Sanaa Arastu's compassion, thoughtful, patient, and thorough attention to the details of my 10-year undiagnosed medical complications gave her the insight to see what no one else could. Within weeks she figured out a diagnosis and treatment plan. Her care continues to be exemplary.
