Lack of compassion.
I am a nurse who worked in ICU and CCU for a number of years. For years, cardiologists thought of themselves as above reproach. It was difficult to watch how patients were treated when being diagnosed with a heart condition. My husband has been diagnosed with heart failure. It's funny that KP had him go to a class on heart failure, where they said the term "heart failure" is a misnomer. Their are many things that a patient might experience, perhaps an abnormal EKG, or a problem with ejection fraction, buy they get diagnosed with "heart failure". My husband gets very short, curt, and sometimes rude explanations from this Doctor. We have to be our own advocates all the time. Since my husband's diagnosis in 2019, he has seen this doctor 2 times. This doctor may be incredibly knowledgeable, but we prefer knowledgeable and compassionate.
