WOW! UNPROFESIONAL!!!
Picked up my orthotics on Dec 4, 2024. Appointment was scheduled Jan 15, '25 for followup. Arrived to be told Dr. Gold no longer taking Wednesday appts & would be retiring in March. No notification from office. Said they were having issues with new computer system & there would be a charge ?? if I wanted copies of my medical file. Couldn't tell me how much charge would be. WOW!!!!! I feel totally hijacked by this doctor!!!

I went for a visit for what I thought was fugus or some type of bacteria infection from a nail salon. Dr. Gold talked really fast with no clear insturctions. She was very condescending and did not listen to a thing I was trying to tell her about my history. They gave me an xray for something I feel was completely unnecessary for what I came in for. Then when she looked at my toe, she cut half my toenail off and was supposed to sent to the lab. I never got results. Not to metion, she gave me med in office that I had to come out of pocket for, and the xray I didnt ask for. These costs were not explained when I called the day before my visit and threw my budget off. They made me sign an agreement because I wasnt prepared to pay almost $200 co pay for something that was covered under my insurance. I never got my test results and they keep calling my private. The staff was rude except the doc assistant. I will not be returning. I still have meds i dont know what to do with and wasted money

Outdated and ineffective care
I went to Dr. Gold for a toe that seemed to have fungus. Dr. Gold quickly looked at the toe and determined that it was fungus and we paid for medications. She also determined that he was wearing the wrong sized shoe and that he need orthodics. She had me fitted for orthodics and I put the medication on my toes for months. After all that, nothing changed. I went to my wive's podiatrist and that podiatrist FIRST took a sample of the area of the toe and had it analyzed by Bako Pathology Services. It was NOT fungus; just a thickening of the nail from trauma (e.g., dropping something on your foot) or another mundane reasons. Dr. Gold did NOT test my nail, she spent a lot of time trimming my nails (although already short) and talking 100 miles an hour and we couldn't understand any of it. I would NOT recommend her at all.

The whole visit was a nightmare. X-rays for an ingrown toe nail < - completely unnecessary (I said no) and it all went downhill from there. Rude, unkind, never mind a bad Dr., a bad person.

The office was nice but Dr. Gold was abrupt, condesending and rude. She spoke to me like i was an idiot. I would not use this doctor again. I asked for my xrays and after paying for the information, it was unusable by the other doctor I went to see and she had to take new xrays.

Dr. Gold, told me I needed inserts after taking an X-ray and that I needed multiple steroid shots. She stressed the need to do the shots in a timely manner and then her office would call and move my appointment because she was taking time off so I could never receive them in the timely manner she recommended. My biggest frustration is she wouldn’t listen to me. I had pictures of what had been happening with my feet and she REFUSED to look at them. If she had looked at my pictures and listened to me she might have realized my issue was a systematic problem rather than a physical problem. No inserts or shots were needed.

The office is extremely unprofessional. Dr. Gold was not friendly, did not answer any questions or concern, and the problem is still not fixed. Tried to sell me $600 shoe inserts. After deciding to go to another doctor, Dr. Gold's office charged me to transfer my x-rays and told me they couldn't guarantee they could get it done in 48 hours. Unacceptable service, go anywhere but here.

The worst patient care I have ever received. Gold was uninformative and rushed out without answering my questions. As I was paying, I asked to see her again because I had so many unanswered questions - I waited twenty minutes to speak with her and she never came. The office is disrespectful, doesn't return calls. Horrible bed side manor, you will be left feeling completely helpless with no answers. If I had more characters to write, I could write a novel on the horrendous experience I had here.

I have been going to Dr. Gold for many years now, as does my daughter, and a good friend. She has always greeted me, been very efficient in my treatment, and very reasonable in price. I have never felt rushed. I’ve been treated for bone spurs (which orthotics took away all pain), broken bones in my foot, and embedded glass. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

She treated a foot issue a few years ago but now my other foot is hurting so I went back. I found everyone in the office professional and pleasant. Dr Gold did greet me when she came in the exam room. She took her time and explained everything and answered my questions. She’s to the point but I like that. Her charges seem reasonable and her staff went over everything.

I went to Dr. Gould 4 years ago and she wasn’t the over the top friendliest but she knew her stuff. I received the steroid shot for my plantar fascitious and haven’t had a problem since. Presently, she is treating my foot for a another problem and again she is on point. Sorry others are not feeling the same.

At substantial cost, none of it covered by insurance, I went through a steroid shot to the heel which worked for about 48-hours, some fungus toenail polish concoction to cure a fungus that hasn't resolved after 3 months, orthotics that debilitate me, and a rude, unfriendly doctor, and uncooperative billing staff which refused to send my records to a new provider out of state. What's left to say? Can't remember if I spent $500 or $700, but none of it was covered. What a waste.

Well from day one I could tell she was no good. By that I mean in the following. She would come in explain what she found on X-rays and as soon as she is done she LITERALLY start walking out with her laptop and the times I tried asking her a question she would answer as she is walking out and still replying to me as she is closing the door. Now the problem with that is that I have more questions about my "foot", I mean I have the right to ask questions right? After all I am paying $45/ visit!

Unhappy Patient! in Carrollton, TX – Dec 15, 2016
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Gold?
First, this office has no respect for your time. I waited 45 minutes and had to complain about the wait before they brought me back. Second, Dr. Gold has a horrible bedside manner. She came in without greeting me, barely let me get a word in, and seemed annoyed when I had questions. Healthcare is very expensive and it is insulting to not answer questions about recommended care that I have to pay for! Finally, she would not listen to my concerns. Do not go to her!

The office staff is not professional nor do they make you feel comfortable. Dr. Gold is nice but always in a rush; acts bothered when I dared to ask questions. I was offered orthotics & was told they would cost over $600, they didn't call my insurance just, which is Aetna- PPO, they stated they were certain they wouldn't be covered. So if paying out of pocket, they dropped the price to $275, which I questioned because why charge insurance more than double if you can offer them for $275?

Don't, don't, and don't. Dr. Gold will rip you off. I don't even know what that Gold is for . For two visits in a row, she walked in, did not greet me, went straight to my foot, look at it, asked a couple of questions, super unfriendly, and walked away. No smile, no explanation, she is just in a hurry to visit the next customer. She will also try to sell you unnecessary products at an outrageous price. Please find someone else, please :)
