the worse!
Dr. Taccad-Reyes is so rude, and no bedside manner. She speaks down to you. Her daughter Gabby, the office manager is even worse. Condescending. They make you feel like you have committed a crime if you question them on anything.

Very nice
After reading these reviews I went into this appointment very anxious. I am very nervous at Dr's offices anyway and reading these reviews had me worried. Dr. Reyes was very compassionate and calming. She explained everything very well, and even went the extra step to put my mi d at ease.Everyone has their own experiences but I thought she and all staff were very very nice. My only complaint is the waiting room and exam rooms are very small. As someone in a wheelchair it was a little tight, but that is not the Dr's fault.

I advise against consulting Dr. Reyes-Taccad
Dr. Sandra Reyes-Taccad has exhibited several concerning behaviors that degrade patient care. She demonstrated a lack of attentiveness to my concerns and was unwilling to consider feedback from credible medical sources. Her communication skills are inadequate, as she frequently interrupted me during appointments, displayed awkward laughter, and treated my concerns with condescending behavior. Her responses were often dismissive and close-minded. There was a lack of empathy and compassion in her interactions. The staff at Dr. Reyes-Taccad’s office also falls short of professional standards. The medical assistant’s behavior was consistently rude, creating an unpleasant patient experience. Regrettably, Dr. Reyes-Taccad’s medical treatment has had a detrimental impact on my health condition due to her disregard for my concerns. I was compelled to seek a second opinion from an alternative Endocrinologist.Based on these experiences, I strongly advise against consulting Dr. Reyes-Taccad fo

Awful
Terrible office with a doctor that doesn’t care. Her daughter is also the nurse there. She will not call you to go over blood work. Even when you request a call. She will send a note over your portal to up medicine and not be seen for another 5 months. When you advocate for yourself and ask if you can come back to be monitored and get another blood test you are told no. She doe not believe in “natural” medicine would rather pump you with medications. Do your own research when it comes to thyroid health bc it’s amazing what diet and exercise can do. When I asked her about it she got defensive and said “I stand by my diagnoses.” She at one point wanted me taking 4 pills a day! I did not listen to her recommendation and have not been on her prescribed medicine in over a year however would have to tell her I take it in order to have my blood monitored and see my levels are normal. Would not recommend you also can not get in touch with the office and their receptionist Jojo is beyond rude

Disappointed
She has a very nasty, rude attitude and I told her so as I had to walk out of my office visit about 10-15 minutes in. She could care less about anything I was trying to tell her and in my personal opinion, I feel she is very dangerous and putting people’s health in jeopardy by having absolutely zero compassion towards people who have very serious medical conditions. How this woman is still able to practice medicine is beyond my comprehension.

Needs to take a class on therapeutic communication
Doesn't listen to answers after asking questions at a rapid rate, choosing instead to speak over you and then get frustrated if you try to ask your own. Repeatedly asked why I was even there after I had waited months for a Stat referral. Repeating over and over that my symptoms had to correlate to my TSH levels while I repeatedly explained that they did correlate, 6 months ago. She rolls her eyes, laughs at you, sighs, and speaks to you like your an idiot. I ended up walking out of the appointment. Once I realized how uncaring she was I knew I was wasting my time. I suggest you bring someone with you to the appointment so she can't treat you like an inconvenience.

Terrible, abrasive and uncaring.
Dr. Reyes bills herself as a practice that is exclusive to thyroid disease. I waited 3 months to see this so called thyroid specialist. I've had Hashimoto's Hypothyroid disease for 5 years and have tried absolutely everything ... even a FMD who is not covered by insurance. She walked in the room, had all my files with her and said, 'so what are you here for?' WOW... I said I'd been on medication for 5 years, have seen many others to address my quality of life issues I am having with this disease. She said she would do my bloodwork, however, if it comes back within range there was NOTHING she could do for me. All my symptoms need to be figured out by my PCP. I asked about nutrition, supplements, etc. She said NONE of these things would help me. Told me not to come back if numbers were within range because she can't help me. I have never been this disrespected as a patient. Please don't waste your time. She doesn't care. She couldn't get me out of the office fast enough.

New patients
what a joke! It is very difficult to get through on the phone to schedule as you must leave a voicemail a majority of the time. And when I have been able to get through to someone, they say they cannot help me and I must wait for a call back. I have been trying to get a hold of someone to get scheduled as new patient as per concerns from my MD for a week. I was finally able to speak with a RN who stated that I could not be seen until 4 months later (December). I explained that there is thyroid cancer/tumor on both sides of my family, I have swollen lymph nodes, my armpits are sore and my thyroid looks/feels very swollen. Despite this, I still could not been seen until 4 months now, despite me begging that I cannot keep going on feeling like this. I have also lost over 50 lbs, have been running a low grade fever for over 3 weeks, have fatigue, difficulty swallowing and am sweating profusely. Despite this, the RN offered to send my referral back to my PCP- no compassion, no understandi

Dr. Taccad-Reyes Made me feel disregarded
I had my visit with Dr. Taccad-Reyes back in the fall of 2021. I was referred to her because of an abnormal MRI- specifically partial empty sella syndrome. She was extremely dismissive towards me. I felt rushed, disregarded, and frankly, I felt like she didn't want to care for me. As a black woman, I can't help but wonder if I experienced ethnic or racial bias. However, it has been almost two years since my visit, and I still feel uneasy. I'm sad to say if you are a woman of color--specifically a black woman, please be hyperaware of possible bias with Dr. Taccad- Reyes.

I was referred to Dr. Taccad Reyes by my PCP due to an abnormal thyroid nodule. When I saw all of the negative reviews online, I was super hesitant to see her, but figured I'd at least go to my first appointment to make my own opinion. I absolutely adore her! She's very kind and thorough. She had plenty of time to answer questions, and was one of the more pleasant physicians I've met in this area. I've seen her for 3 appointments now, and have another scheduled in a few months. I would take the negative reviews with a grain of salt. I believe her daughter does work with her doing reception work and occasionally as a nurse. She seemed quiet and shy, which I understand can come off as rude but I didn't get that vibe.

I have been with Dr. Reyes for about 10 years. My last appointment was did not go very well. The young woman who is usually the receptionist was filling in as nurse. Her hands were very shaky while taking my pulse. Upon trying to do a blood draw, here hands were still shaking, but I remained patient. After two attempts, 2 different needles , she said that I would need to go to my own lab for the blood test. This has never happened before. Now 5 working days later, 3 phone calls I'm still trying to get my RX renewed. No changes to RX, but they are asking me what do I want my dose to be ??? and which Pharmacy ? That was verified at check in of appt. Very frustrated. May find new Endo.

From day one I was not happy. Initially it was her staff! The one young girl is miserable & has no customer service skills! I have heard recently she is related to the Dr that would explain why she still has a job! I had to argue at several visits about paying my co-payment. The girl said I didn't have one since it did not state on my card; one visit she wanted to collect $7 for lab. I don't pay for labs but paid to get it over with! I then received a bill for $13 dollars....I went to office to discuss this and pay. I had owed $20 for 2 co-pays & they deducted $7 from my previous lab payment. I tried to pay then & they refused. I received a notice from a collection Agency for the $13!! I contacted MVP & complained. Up until this point the dr was good until I requested to see a surgeon out of state. She raised her voice at me & said I have a contract with MVP & she will not help me with my request; that it is between me and my insurance. I was shocked she was so unprofessional!

I would highly recommend Dr. Taccad to anyone needing an endocrinologist. She explained all the details of my condition and the options available thoroughly with a warm and friendly manner not usually found in the current numbers driven medical profession. She took the time to listen to all of my questions and concerns, asking follow-up questions and taking notes without appearing rushed or hurried. All considered, my visits with Dr. Reyes have been nothing but positive.
