Wanted to correct an error of my original review. It came over as a 1 but it should have been a 5star review don't know how that happened. I owe Dr Yoon and his staff a debt of gratitude and he comes highly recommended

He informed me of what to expect and was very accurate

Very arrogant demeanor. Rushed to leave the exam room. Failed to listen to my concerns and treatment history and became defensive when asked questions. No 2-way discussion about treatment options. Just an awful experience and extremely discouraged by his outright disrespect for the patient's time and effort to attend the appointment.

Dr Yoon was excellent, from the beginning not knowing me, he was very informative, allowed me to get my wife on the phone eventhouh no one was allowed to come with me. Visit my wife and I after surgery. My highest accolades to and for him. Thank you!!!!

Dr Yoon performed spinal surgery on me at the Emory Spinal Clinic. In arriving at the decision to proceed with this surgery the doctor was extremely open in talking about the risks, pain and recovery. The procedure was as he described and within one week, I was fairly self sufficient. The pain during the first two days was as he described as fairly intense, but subsided with each day afterward. I was walking in the house every few hours on the second day as recommended for a couple of weeks and then ventured outside near the house. within a month I only experienced mild pain but was fully active within the detailed rules provided by Emory. I would recommend Dr. Yoon to anyone suffering from back pain or sciatic discomfort. Excellent Doctor.

Before meeting Dr. Yoon for my back/sciatica pain I went to another spine surgeon. That surgeon did a 'cleaning' out of my L4, L5 and S1 and in 6 weeks the pain returned. Dr. Yoon was referred to me by friends whom he helped. After meeting with Dr. Yoon and his team my husband and I felt he was the right surgeon to help me. They explained in detail what would be done and how long my recovery would be. The surgery was 6 1/2 hours long and very involved. I have all sorts of nuts and bolts in me!! Now 3 months later, I have NO pain. I can go on long walks, cook standing up, and shop without difficulty. It was a long road of recovery but now I know it was worth it. My quality of life has greatly improved. I now refer Dr. Yoon and his team to those who need their expertise.

Very informative and useful suggestions on surgical procedures

I came to Dr. Yoon with major nerve pain in my lower back and leg because of a herniated disc. I had had no luck with months of PT and steroid shots. I was much better from the minute I got out of surgery. It took a couple of weeks to get over some of the soreness from surgery, but even this was nothing compared to the debilitating pain I was experiencing. Would recommend to anyone with similar issues.

Dr. Yoon and his staff at Emory were awesome. They treated fairly and made me feel comfortable. He performed a microdiscectomy. I really appreciate how much they took care of me. It has been 3 weeks since my surgery, I’m in less pain than prior to the surgery. Thank you for assisting me.
