Very Professional & Knowledgeable
Dr. Luu has been my primary physician for a few years now and I couldn’t be happier. I loathe getting tests done but the way he ensures I get them done is amazing. He’s very matter of fact which I appreciate—there’s no second guessing what he means and this can be hard to come by here in Seattle. He also has very good bedside manners and even though he’s a man he keeps up on women’s healthcare. He also happens to know a lot about MS and put my mind at ease regarding that issue.

Lacks empathy & diet focused
Dr. Luu doesn't appear to have the best attitude towards female patients struggling with weight. He made me feel bad because I didn't have a calorie tracker. He was visibly puzzled why I would track my steps but not my calories, and suggested downloading a 16.99 per month app. He didn't ask if I have a history of eating disorders that would be triggered by this approach of dieting (which I do) and said 'go ahead and download that app now' as if I would do it during the appointment without question. This made me feel uncomfortable.

I saw Dr. Luu about chronic fatigue and stomach issues. Without asking me about my weight loss history (looking solely at my BMI), he told me that I should try intermittent fasting and weight-lifting. (I've unsuccessfully tried IF and my BMI is high because I regularly lift weights in my home gym.) I thought he'd be more compassionate.
