Dr. Sanjay Reddy, MD

Excellent surgeon, informative and personable. Dr Reddy and his team are top notch in every aspect of medical care.

Dr. Reddy is very easy to speak with and explains everything in laymen's turn so that a non-medical person understands what he needs to know. He is caring and compassionate, he takes time to understand his patient, and reassure him. I was very reluctant to have this surgery but he explained why it was very important to have it done as soon as possible. There were some other medical concerns that had to be attended to before this surgery. Dr. Reddy worked with the other doctors involved to make sure I was ready and it was safe to perform the surgery. He explained that he would be doing two surgeries at the same time, and would do them with as little damage to my body as possible. He said that the surgery could take up to 8 hours, but finished in a much shorter time. I was discharged in six days, and in less than 2 weeks I was able to resume my normal activities with caution. He's a remarkable surgeon and a wonderful person, and I can barely see my incisision!

Superior skill, exceptional kindness. He's everything you want a doctor to be. Clearly passionate about what he does and the care he provides. So kind and thoughtful. In additional to strategizing my mom's treatment options and explaining them so clearly, Dr. Reddy also addressed the little things in comparison...such as how far we were traveling to get to Fox Chase, and he made sure testing appointments were combined to reduce our burden. I imagine his days are quite long and obviously filled with enormous responsibility. Despite that, he found the time and mental space to show us such care and empathy and seemed very happy to do so. We could not be more pleased with Dr. Reddy and his team...and everyone at Fox Chase.

My husband went for a routine colonoscopy & unfortunately a mass was found & determined to be cancerous. We were referred to Dr Sanjay Reddy. With the very first visit we were sure we were in good hands. His caring approach, explaining everything thoroughly & answering every question we had. After surgery my husband stayed in hospital for 5 days. Dr Reddy did his morning visits & called me every morning with the report of my husband. I was blown away that he called every morning with the progress of my husband & once again answered all my questions. He & his team continue to take great care of my husband. We feel very fortunate to have him as our doctor!!

The confidence, competence, and compassion of Dr. Reddy inspired me to agree to undergo the whipple surgical procedure. I was extremely grateful that it was a viable option for me, because the alternative would have been dire, indeed. As an octogenarian, I could have assumed that I had come to the end of my life. The deep experience of Dr. Reddy and his entire team was reflected in every stage of my treatment and recovery. I am delighted in the outcome at almost five weeks of post-op recovery. I'm already walking thousands of steps every day. For anyone needing this procedure to extend their lives, I would vigorously recommend it and that they let Dr. Reddy do it.

An unexpected diagnosis of a rare cell tumor in the tail of my pancreas, led me to Dr. Reddy. His explanation of the procedure that he would perform ,which was laproscopic and minimal invasive, with a better recovery time, was the best option for me. He was very attentive to my family. He was very compassionate. He listened to our concerns. He answered our many questions which were easy to understand. Within two weeks of our first visit,i was scheduled for surgery and five days later,I was on my way home. My Birthday. During my stay, Dr. Reddy visited me twice a day. After each visit, he called my husband and gave him an update on my progress. He always called my husband and son by their first names. We felt this was more than a doctor patient relationship. I recognized that immediately when he said, " I am not here just to treat Pancreatic Cancer, I am here to Cure it" He is a totally dedicated person. Not only in his surgery, but in his research,as well. Would highly recommend him

I was diagnosed with stage 2A melonoma and was referred to Dr. Reddy. We were fortunate to see him in a little over a week's time and learned that he had a cancellation in his surgical schedule for the next day. And the next day I had my surgery thanks to Dr. Reddy and his team at Fox Chase that made this happen. He is a friendly, approachable person and I felt as if I were in the best hands. My cancer came on fast and so did the surgery. Dr. Reddy came by daily to watch my progress and add tips to post op experience in the ICU and on the ward. I believe I received good attention and great care throughout the whole process. I would recommend Dr. Reddy to anyone in need of a Whipple surgery for excellent outcome.

We met with him and he was nice and seemed well informed about my pancreas cancer, he recommended chem treatment and said it was the only way to tackle this and get me to surgery. two months of a nerve numbing drug, I became very sick. I was admitted to Jefferson to get treated for my low blood cells and bad rash. The surgeon there told me my tumor was removable from the first time and I should not have gotten chemo. I am so mad at This doctor and his team. Do not trust what they say and do you search.

Dr. Reddy is a very good oncology surgeon. His professionalism, medical knowledge, and post surgery follow up are first rate. He is compassionate, and extremely knowledgeable, and it shows in his dedication to his profession. My diagnosis of mucosal melanoma / tumor in my stomach was diagnosed and removed in a very professional and speedy manner by Dr. Reddy and his team. Early detection is critical, and working with Dr. Reddy helped me understand my options and the timing required for surgical success. I would strongly recommend Dr. Reddy and the team at Fox Chase for any oncology surgical needs.

DR. Reddy is an unbelievable professional and caring doctor. I was very, very sick by the time I came to Fox Chase again but this time for something different. He is very caring to his patient and his main goal is to get you better and he shows it in every way.

This guy is the real deal. I would not go anywhere else but to Dr. Reddy. He is young, for sure, but he did an amazing job on my small bowel cancer, and even more, he has a wonderful, caring bed-side manner. He was extremely caring and attentive both prior to the surgery, and during my recovery. He even came in on both Saturday and Sunday to check on me, which I thought was super-nice. I also really appreciate that Dr. Reddy seems dialed in with his colleagues in medical and radiation oncology, so you get the full benefit of a multi-modality approach. I could not recommend Dr. Reddy more highly.

The most thorough and compassionate doctor. His OCD did good by me. Had a Cholangiocarcinoma removed and recovery was perfect!! He is my savior for sure!!!!

I was referred to Dr Reddy when I was diagnosed with Stage 4 aggressive colon cancer which had metastasized to various organs. Dr. Reddy is an awesome and caring surgeon. He listened and was very on top of my situation. He recommended HIPEC surgery which is a high risk and long procedure. After 12 hours in surgery at Fox Chase Dr.Reddy kept my waiting family informed by his staff each step of the way. He was precise and meticulous about what he could do for me. I met Dr.Reddy two days after I was diagnosed with gastric cancer. As soon as I met him I felt there was a connection of warmth and sincere feelings towards his patients. I was surprised to see how young of a man Dr.Reddy is but his confidence and expertise just shined through. I took and followed all of his recommendations of more pre-testing to better diagnose where the tumor was . After my four initial rounds of chemo I had surgery, with great results. Dr.Reddy saved half of my stomach which is more than I thought it would be . My surgery was April 16, 2019, today all my staples or out, I am feeling almost 100%, I have four more rounds of chemo to do. Dr Reddy is kind and sincere and it just shows with his patients , no matter how many times I asked the same question he took the time to answer it without any hesitation .
