Dr Sankar Kausik has been my urologist for about 5-years. Over the years because of relocations with my job, I’ve had three other urologists so I’m able to make a comparison. In my opinion, Dr Kausik is the best, a 5-star doctor. He’s a great doctor, who cares about my urological health, and is easy to talk with. I have the upmost confidence in Dr. Kausik, one reason I drive 280-miles round trip from my home in southern Delaware for my annual exams, surgeries, and post op follow-ups. I’m pleased with the two prostrate surgeries he has performed for me. His office staff is efficient, and they are friendly and helpful.

From my initial consult through the procedure and follow up Dr Kausik was courteous, informative and caring. He was able to guide me and confirm the procedure the right procedure for me. Appointment were productive and without lengthy waiting. He demonstrated professionalism and concern for a patients health and improved quality of life. His extensive experience with multiple procedures and continued education made him the right choice for me personally even though his practice was 90 minutes from my hometown.

Today's visit met all of my expectations. Appointment started on time. Focused on my current diagnosis and how treatment plan was doing. Fortunately my situation is improving from last visit. My urological issues were discussed both from a physical and psychological point of view. Samples were provided of the new medication while I sort cost issues. Since I am on Social Security cost is a consideration. Dr. Kausik gave me information on how I can hopefully reduce cost to make the new medication affordable to me. When I left the office today I felt that Dr. Kausik developed a good action plan for me.

Completely solved my Urology problems. I Really think he is a great Doctor.

He discovered my cancer and performed the surgery while always answering my many questions and informing me of what’s next. I felt extremely comfortable with him. I’m very grateful to him and staff.

After years on Tamulosin and countless near accidents Dr, Kausik treated me with the 'green laser'. It was virtually painless and after 48 hours I remove my catheter and bad and I was good to go. I had very little bleeding afterward and in three or four days I had no need of any restrictions or precautions. My results have been more than I hoped for. I never get up at night. I can travel four or five hours without more than the usual breaks we all take. I me a guy on my tour group in Ireland in the spring who had the same treatment and in his words, 'It was life changing.' I couldn't agree more. Your results may not be the same as mine. We're all different. That being said, for 39 months I've been going like I was 30 years old. I wish I had done it years ago.

After the procedure I urinate less frequently, my stream is stronger and my bladder empties more completely.

After having a procedure to alleviate my enlarged prostate elsewhere that did not unfortunately do the job, the urologist who performed that procedure suggested that I might want to consult with Dr. Kausik. Despite that Dr. Kausik practices in a different part of Maryland than where I live, I did consult with him and he subsequently performed a green light laser surgery on my prostrate. The result of his work was very successful. My BPH is well under control and thanks to Dr. Kausik I have regained the quality of life I had before my enlarged prostate required constant bathroom trips. Busy as he must be, Dr. Kausik is very accessible, more so than many other highly qualified physicians with whom I have dealt. I recommend Dr. Kausik without reservation.

I have been a patient of Dr. Kausik for approximately eight years and have been completely satisfied with the care that I have received. I have had two procedures during that time both of which were successful. Dr. Kausik has always listened to my concerns and answered my questions. I have the utmost confidence in his ability to continue to provide competent care for me in the years to come.

The Dr. listens carefully and explains in detail. I have had several procedures done over the last ten plus years with great results. I have no plans on changing Doctors.

I received “care” from Dr. Kausik between Nov 2021 and Nov 2022. During this time, I presented a painful testicular mass that was quickly passed off as an epididymal cyst and I was sent on my own way. Over the next year, I went to Dr. Kausik six times, with the mass growing and my symptoms advancing between each visit. Despite my constant efforts, my concerns were ignored and my condition was underplayed - despite all the evidence being right in front of him. The mass turned out to a cancerous germ cell tumor, that had spread to my lungs and lymphatic system. If proper testing and surveillance were in place, the progression of my disease would’ve been contained and my prognosis would’ve been significantly better. If you are concerned about anything that may be cancer, I highly recommend going to literally any other urologist in the area.

Dr Kausik is an excellent dr. He takes his time and answers all your questions and concerns. I would highly recommend him.

I delayed treatment for BPH several years, visited Dr K (after having Hartmann procedure 10/2021 at 71 yo due to diverticulitis) due to potential for even more severe urinary condition/ symptoms if left untreated. He didn't mess around & gave me options clearly explaining each one. After one more office visit, PVP Greenlight outpatient procedure was scheduled & done successfully Dec 2021. Problems after procedure were minimal, just as explained. After 14 months, I'll say the procedure has definitely returned my urinary habits effectively back to normal, & that's a wonderful experience after several years of urinary misery. Many thanks to Dr Kausik & all staff for a great job.

I'm 63 and have had a lot of doctor's visits, and I can say doctor Kausik was very good, from the initial office visit exam to the prostate biopsy to the follow up visit. Doctor Kausik explained everything in easy-to-understand language, was strait forward, clear and did not waste any time. I will strongly recommend him to anyone who asks for my opinion.

I was let down greatly by Dr. Kausik and his team at Chesepeake Urology. The poor response time was one thing, but for a doctor to be so incorrect about my condition, it just leaves a horrible taste in my mouth. I felt my symptoms were severely minimized and overlooked by Dr. Kausik, and was personally blamed on more than one occasion for my symptoms. Unfortunately for me, this lapse in judgement will have lasting effects on my life. DO NOT RECOMMEND. BE WARNED

I was the first person in Maryland to have the iTind performed. It was done in his office surgery suit. The risk is very minimal, and the advantage is great. I no longer need to get up in the middle of the night some nights as much as 6 times. I can now void my bladder and am no longer bothered by the constant feeling that I need to use the toilet, which cause problems when you are working. There was some discomfort but for the discomfort I did experience it was worth it. I’m happy with my choice and think this treatment is worth looking into.

Blood in my urine led me to Dr. Kausik. I had a very large kidney stone that ultimately required two laser procedures back to back to remedy. Dr. Kausik was very professional and caring throughout my whole ordeal. His knowledge and experience in Urology made me feel comfortable and safe. I will definitely see him as the need arises.
