Bilateral Hernia Surgery
Would like to extend my sincere gratitude to Doctor Santiago Arrufatt and the team at St Mary’s Ascension Hospital for the superb results of the Bilateral Hernia Surgery on July 10th 2024. The recovery was a little tougher than I expected but not all that bad. Had I not pushed the envelope much sooner than I should doing things that I look back on should probably not have been doing. However, the outcome was well worth the discomfort.Best Regards,Ron Tipton

He performed hernia mess repair on me from a previous surgery he did 4 years prior. 6 days later I had to have emergency surgery for a perforation according to the second surgeon. I would give lower than 1 star if possible.

I worship him
Dr Arruffat saved my life. I have malrotation of small bowel and colon and wasn’t diagnosed until I was 30. He performed a Subtotal colectomy 2 weeks ago. It is like night and day how I’m feeling. He’s s amazing. I couldn’t find a surgeon who would see me due to my birth defect. When I say he saved my life, I mean it with all my heart. Thank you

Great Doctor!
Dr Arruffat saved my husband’s life several years ago when he had a perforated bowel from diverticulitis! He is an amazing doctor! We have total confidence in Dr Arruffat ! I am also a patient of his and his office makes sure I schedule my regular colonoscopies. He is a very caring and compassionate doctor! Several friends and members of my family are also patients of Dr Arruffat!

I was in severe pain immediately upon waking up after after my colonoscopy and hemorrhoid banding. That night my pain worsened, I tossed and turned all night sobbing, with the pain getting so severe that I began to shiver uncontrollably, with waves of nausea. Here it is 34-days later, and I'm still in such severe stinging, searing pain, that it is hard to sit still while I write this review, and they told me I could return to work the next day?! can you imagine if I had an office job!?!? I initially went to Dr. Arrufat, with complaints of constipation, and occasional pains in my colon. He prescribed me Miralax, and my constipation was eased up but he said we ought to do the colonoscopy to be safe and said while we're at it he'll do hemorrhoid banding. He made it sound simple enough so I agreed. If I would have had any idea how my life would be affected by that procedure I never would have agreed. I plan on making my experience known to help others avoid this hellish nightmare!

Phenomenal doctor. He did the same procedure in ten minutes in-office that my previous surgeon was supposed to do six months ago during my surgery for the exact same issue (the first doctor never fixed the issue even though I had a same day surgery for the same issue). He was so compassionate and comforting. I don't think I'd have ever agreed to an in-office procedure of that nature if Dr. Arruffat had been so compassionate and reassuring. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Arruffat
