I like that Dr. Coleman’s phone directory has a way to contact one of her staff. I was lucky enough to get a call back from a staff member named Mary, who after listening to my upper respiratory symptoms and my age, offered me a time slot the next day to see Dr. Coleman. Once in the office I received clear instructions to counteract the infection I’d been gutting out at home for 6 days. She used a multi-pronged approach involving a steroid, a decongestant, a cough syrup, and an antibiotic if symptoms did not improve in two days. She patiently explained the copious amount of mucus I was creating in and expelling from my sinuses was not in itself the culprit. Instead she clarified that my body produced the mucus as a means to fight the infection at the cellular level. As a parent I used to complain about fevers when they too were mere symptoms of a body under siege. My point is she educated me about my own 69 year-old body. That takes time, skill, and patience.

Dr Coleman is an excellent doctor! She never ceases to amaze me with her knowledge, professionalism, kindness, patience, compassion and so many other good qualities. She is friendly, thorough, reviews records carefully and ends the visit only when all needs have been addressed. She never rushes the appointment. She is a great listener and always offers solutions. She gives great advice and I trust her judgment completely. I highly recommend her!

Dr Coleman is the best Family Practice Physician l have had! She is always prepared and takes time to understand your particular health condition and set achievable steps to make it better. She truely cares about her patients and I wouldn’t want any other!

Dr. Coleman takes care of the whole patient. She listens and asks questions before jumping to a diagnosis. She genuinely cares and is extremely knowledgeable. I trust her completely and highly recommend her .

Dr. Coleman Shewmaker is so thorough, so knowledgeable and so very caring. She is approachable and non-judgmental. She is truly the Absolute Best Physician I have had in my life, and I am 67 years old and have been the patient of many physicians throughout the years. Dr. Coleman is very 'down to earth' and very relatable. She is not pretentious. Dr. Coleman's patients feel so comfortable and I don't feel there is anything I would not feel comfortable sharing with her. She takes her time with me, is a great listener, and I never feel that she is rushed or needing to get to the next patient. She has a very open and relaxed demeanor. She was so empathetic and listened intently when I recently shared about the loss of my husband. She is a fine mix of relatable, yet professional. I am so thankful and blessed that she is my Physician. She is an awesome doctor and I highly recommend her to others.

Dr. Coleman has the absolute best bedside manner! She is exceptionally kind, caring, and empathetic with her patients. She takes time to truly listen to your concerns. She has always given me excellent advice and presented me with all viable options when treatment is needed. She is also incredibly responsive to questions and communications through the patient portal. If it were possible to give her more than 5 stars, I'd do it in a heartbeat!

She is utterly professional, but she also is so personable and invested in a positive outcome that it sometimes feels like she is a family friend watching out for me.

Dr Coleman took the time necessary to learn about my concerns. She discussed testing options and then treatment options. One of the best doctors that I have had the pleasure to use.
