So grateful for Dr. McAchran!
I am so grateful to have Dr. McAchran as my urologist. She listens and seems to genuinely care about her patients. She explains everything in a way that is easy to understand, and I am very comfortable with my treatment plan. At my most recent appointment, I discussed some concerning symptoms that I was experiencing. She listened to me, discussed some potential causes in a way that was easy for me to understand, and then worked with me to develop a plan moving forward.

Don’t recommend
Dr. McAchran did not listen well. She did not understand my main concerns, and she cut me off when I shared non-bladder symptoms (still in pelvic area) I thought might be related, saying that that wasn’t her area. Her tone and attitude towards me seemed to make light of and not believe my symptoms. Her only recommendation was pain medication that I had tried previously and had not found relief from. I do not recommend going to her, except for something routine or other straightforward.

Dr. McAchran listened to me and explained everything going on. She was very clear in her explanations of what needs to be done and why. She does her own notes so as to be sure of accuracy including a referral to another needed department. I feel very reassured with her being the Dr in charge of my care and impending surgery.

I would never recommend Dr. McAchran's services to family or friends. I waited months to see her, only to watch her type notes during appt, and recommend health psych and pain clinic. No answers provided as to WHY I was having symptoms post hysterectomy/internal abdominal hemorrhage.
