Doctor Obican and her team are some of the most talented and skilled professionals my wife and I have encountered. She delivered our son, and at every step of the pregnancy, delivery and recovery she gave us clear communication about what to expect, how things were going and what to watch for. We knew we were in more than capable hands and were able to focus on the birth of our son with excitement and anticipation rather than worry and concern. I can't recommend Dr. Obican enough!

We had a very high-risk pregnancy and had many more appointments than usual, and I can affirmatively state, through many first-hand interactions, that Dr. Obican was an integral part of the successful delivery of our child. She is extremely competent, professional and genuinely cared about us and our baby, and went out of her way to explain things to us before and after each medical procedure. This is not the norm, nowadays. From the start of the journey to the day of delivery, we both felt more assured that this doctor was part of our medical team. She even came by the NICU to check on us and our baby! Unbelievable. Thank you, Dr. Obican! You are an amazing physician.

It's genuinely hard to put into words what it is like to be in Dr. Obican's care. I had an incredibly difficult identical twin pregnancy (mo/di) when I met Dr. Obican on referral from another set of high-risk doctors. From the moment I met her, she never allowed me to give up hope. She treated our case with an incredible sense of compassion, as well as relying on her experience, skill and wealth of knowledge for this type of pregnancy. When we lost my son, Jonah, she consoled my husband and I, and yet charted a path forward that ultimately lead to the birth of our son, Jackson. I could not have asked for a better team to help us navigate both loss and birth, and the complicated range of emotions and questions that surrounded that experience. Doctors like Dr. Obican and her team are rare, and their quality of care is undeniable.

When I found out the complications I was having during my pregnancy I was so upset. But upon being in her care I just felt so much better. She really cares about you as a person and not just a patient. I’m so thankful for her and her team, she is very nice and easy to ask questions to and will help you through the struggles you are experiencing. If you have any questions she answers you and it never feels rushed. I felt very safe during a very scary time, and because of her and her team I was able to bring my miracle rainbow baby home. I tell everyone about how great she is because without her I know my pregnancy could have gone a very different way. I’m so thankful for her! She is very knowledgeable.

She did everything she can for me and my son. I meet her and I felt I was with the best hands. Also, her team is amazing, always giving support to the patients.

As soon as we met Dr. Obican we knew we were in the best of hands. She is compassionate, listens, highly skilled, devoted and cares about you. We never felt rushed or confused when speaking with her. She is so easy to talk to and express your concerns. I highly recommend Dr. Obican. We’re forever grateful to have had her as our doctor. She saved our miracle.

If you’re looking for a kind, compassionate, and all around amazing human to take care of you during a scary and vulnerable time, you cannot go wrong with Dr. Obican. She helped me through the worst 2 years of my life, and at the end, brought home my rainbow princess. She still checks in a year+ later.

I want to convey just how wonderful Dr. Obican is. She is extremely knowledgeable and educates her patients & families  with the utmost kindness. We have been with her for over a year and a half and we always have a ton of questions and she is always patient and she explains things in ways that are easy to comprehend. On top of this, I highly trust her medical expertise and feel confident that she is there to help protect me and the baby along the way. It is very important to me that I feel safe and trust my providers and with her there is no doubt that I do. She embodies all that someone should look for in a provider. She is highly intelligent, well versed in her field, collaborative with patients and other staff and very compassionate. The genetic counselor, Nevena krstic, has been a gift. She has been a in of information. This woman literally answers emails all times of day. She is always patient even when we have asked the same question 5x. I feel so blessed to have her as a resour

Dr. Obican helped me through a very difficult pregnancy. She was extremely thorough, researched and hard working, while also maintaining the most incredible bedside manner. This is a hard combination to come by in my experience. I can't imagine having gone through my high risk pregnancy without her.

Dr. Obican and her genetic counselor Reka Muller are amazing. I had an unforeseen ultrasound finding, which was DEVASTATING. But Reka spoke to me about what everything meant and what testing was available to discover what could cause this. Then Dr. Obican did a procedure called a CVS to help get a diagnosis working with Reka’s consult. I am still awaiting results, but they are so attentive I know I am in good hands.

The ENTIRE Genetics Team led by Dr. Obican is WONDERFUL to work with. I can definitely tell that her leadership and knowledge leads her team to successfully care for each and every patient. I am a first time Mother, who is very high-risk, with a ton of questions. I ALWAYS get a response from either Dr. Obican or someone on her very knowledgeable team. I am 100% satisfied with her and her teams level of service. From my first pre-pregnancy appointment, to my last appointment (I am 19 weeks along), Dr. Obican and her team has enabled my high-risk to go smoothly. Even when it came time to deliver difficult news, they were empathetic, caring, helpful and very knowledgeable. I don’t know what I would have done if it weren’t for the USF/TGH Genetics Team - particularly Dr. Obican, Reka Muller, & Nevena Krstic. I can’t thank them enough, or provide higher praise. They have raised my bar for all future expectations with doctors! Thank you Dr. Obican, for helping me become a Mother!

Dr Obican is one of the most caring and compassionate doctors I have ever met. Her bedside manner is unlike that I have seen (and I am in the medical field). I previously had two healthy pregnancies, so when, on my third pregnancy, things seemed to be going abnormally at our 20 week ultrasound I was caught quite off guard to say the least. I thank God Dr Obican was in clinic that day and even though it was the first time I ever met her and despite her having to give us some devastating news, I will never forget the love and support I felt from her as a woman, a friend and a doctor. Not only is she supportive and caring, she is also an expert in her field. Day one of meeting her I never once questioned her medical expertise. Being that we had to undergo additional testing and procedures, I saw three other physicians who all verified that Dr Obican was exactly correct in her medical diagnosis. She supported me through the whole process and was patient with each and every question I asked

Very poor bedside manner....extremely disappointed. I am a high risk pregnancy with many losses. During a procedure, I alerted her to sharing feedback with me. She raised her tone and let me know that “it is not like you are a thin woman”.....there is a way to share information and to communicate and this is not the way. Insulting your patient is not appropriate. This doctor could use some peer to peer positive mentoring from the empathetic physicians on her team.
