Wife has had back pain for as long as I can remember. Many back surgeries, each leaving their mark. It’s only been 2 days but she says she's feeling very little pain. Though this could be from the anesthesia still in her system. We will know more in a few more days. Couldn’t be more happier with DR SK. Caring, compassionate, and overall great bedside manner. His staff at Advent Heath are excellent.

He explained about a procedure he was about to perform in detail and in a language that even a child could understand. After surgery his bedside manners was outstanding, the follow care is how every Doctor should treat his patients. now I feel like I have a friend and a doctor.

I went to see Dr Karuppiah and at visit he explained why I was experiencing so much numbness and weakness and imbalance. It was getting worse everyday. I was using a walker it got so bad. He explained my problem was 2 3 4 5 and 6 and that my spinal cord was being compressed. He went on to explain what he could do to help me and I went for it. I had my surgery Feb. 26 and immediately notice a difference in the feel of my hands and feet and my balance. I was able to walk that evening without walker. I am still improving daily. This wonderful Dr. and his skilled hands and of course the good Lord, gave my life back to me. The whole office and workers are happy, upbeat and so positive. You go in a stranger and leave feeling so blessed . Surgical staff is also amazing. The whole surgury was positive . There is pain but they are great to make sure your pain is managed. Amazing , Caring and skilled Neuro surgeon

I was referred to Dr. Karuppiah by the pain clinic in Lady Lake, FL. What followed was one of the best surgical experiences that I have ever had. The Dr. and all of his staff were very knowledgeable and efficient. Everything about the procedure, and what to expect, were plainly laid out to me. The procedure went like clockwork. The hospital was very clean and efficient. The hospital staff was very friendly and professional. At every step of the process, I felt well cared for. It was a very positive and reassuring experience. I can't say enough about my surgeon, Dr. Karuppiah. The absolute best!The followup care after the procedure is just as good. (Legacy Home Care) If you are considering getting spinal surgery, think long and hard before you go anywhere other than Advent Hospital and Dr. Karuppiah. Better care doesn't exist.

I am so glad I had Dr K as my surgeon. He was the kindest and most engaging Dr, even listening and responding to all of my questions and concerns. I had pain in my neck that radiated down both my arms resulting in numbness in my right hand and shooting pain periodically in both my arms. Dr K listened to my complaint and gave me a choice of getting shots periodically or doing surgery. I opted for surgery and am so glad I did. He explained everything and after the surgery and 3 months of a neck brace, I feel great. I would absolutely encourage anyone with neck pain to see Dr K before you make any decisions.

Dr. Karuppiah took the time to clearly explain the procedure that he was recommending. He discussed both pros and cons of the surgery. He answered all my questions. Consequently, I felt very confident and comfortable making the decision to have the surgery. His staff were very professional and caring. I may add, the office and exam room were meticulously clean.

Dr. Karuppiah is an excellent surgeon..his diagnosis and surgery changed my husband's life and gave him his mobility back and he is no longer suffering from pain. He is professional, patient, extremely competent, and has the best bedside manners. We felt so lucky to find him, and you will too. Dr. SK removed my fathers large brain tumor. Our family was very nervous about the potential risks involved but the surgery was necessary. Unbelievably my father was awake, walking (with assistance), eating, and playing Scrabble 48 hours after the operation! We are incredibly lucky to have had such a talented and experienced surgeon. Dr. Karuppiah is a very competent and compassionate doctor. He performed an ACDF (cervical) surgery, and the outcome was positive. I found the doctor and his team to be very professional and through. He takes the necessary time with his patient through the whole process. I spoke to some of his other patients, and they could not say enough about him. I would differently recommend Dr. Karuppiah.

Service connected L-5, S-1 Spondylolisthesis with Neuropathy in both legs.After 52 years of Chiropractors, Physical Therapy, NSAIDS, Epidurals, and Radiofrequency ablations, I made the decision to go with Fusion Surgery. Dr. SK performed an ALIF and a Posterior Fixation. The 2 surgeries were performed over a 4 day stay at Advent Hospital Ocala.I was very pleased with the results of the surgeries. Dr. Karuppiah's staff and support team in the Office and in the Hospital were OUTSTANDING, All 5 star rating !!!Pre and Post operative care and attention was the very best.I was blessed to find Dr. SK and am very thankful for his care.

My husband has cancer that had traveled to his brain. We were a few weeks away from xmas when we were told the news. Dr S.K came in and told us all the options, made it clear that whatever we decided was ok and wasn’t even irritated at all my questions or wanting all the information available before making a decision. After some careful and deep thinking my husband decided he would do the surgery. The possible outcome wasn’t the best but it was the only way to help save his life. This was my 3 month follow up after spinal surgery. He explained everything in detail and is very knowledgeable and carrying. I would never go to any other spinal doctor. This was my second fusion in 6 years and this one went extremely well just like the first one.

Dr. Karuppiah is it caring, compassionate, and skillful neurosurgeon. I had back surgery last year and I’m now able to golf and play pickleball. This year I had cervical surgery with wonderful results! The the surgical team was awesome. If you need a neurosurgeon, I highly recommend this doctor. It is worth the wait to feel secure that you will be in the best care with this physician!
