Dr. Sarfraz Aly, MD

I can't attest to Dr. Aly's efficacy because I only got to see him once in all my visits. The first time, I knew I was going to see a nurse because I booked last minute, but when you have a follow-up and tell them you want to see the doctor and rearrange your schedule to fit the doctor's schedule so you can see him and he never comes in to see you, that's extremely disappointing. Now when the office staff doesn't call you back about lab results and you walk around with a new infectious disease you didn't know you had and infect others and you have to find out 'by accident' that doesn't bode well for them, especially when I couldn't get anyone to answer my calls or even return a call until weeks later. Honestly, that's just the tip of the iceberg on the issues I had dealing with this office. Never again!

I will not go back! Unfortunately, character limits do not allow me to tell the entire story of my struggles with this office. I honestly don't know if the doctor is any good or not, but had so many difficulties dealing with the office I would never go back. They never got my lab results to me and then when they did told me 'they were fine' and let me walk around with an infectious disease (not knowing it) and goodness knows how many people I infected during that time. The only reason I got the accurate results was because I asked them to send the results to my ENT doctor. That's a story in and of itself! I have never felt so frustrated trying to get personnel on the phone (or to return phone calls). I can't tell you how much time I spent on the phone trying! I even left messages on the 'grievance' line and nobody called me back until I left at least 3 messages. Save yourself time, frustration, and hassle, and find a practice that cares about its patients.

Last visit Dr was not in I had to see his assistant. Today I went in because my amputated toe was infected they told $140 because my deductible was not meet. I left and called the insurance they said the deductible was meet. I don't believe the staff even called. I may loose my foot because I need IV antibiotics but they want money. I thought doctors were to help people.

I have made several attempts to contact Dr Aly. He treated me at Methodist Hospital in SL. for an infection in my spine. I have completed all my antibiotics, but the pain in my back has returned. I had an appointment with his PA and she said she would request an MRI but failed to do so. I have called several times to have her contact me and have had no response. He is a good doctor with a staff that is not relaying messages or follow through with what they say there are going to do.

I had been with Dr Aly for many years. But once they moved into the new building his office staff changed . I had trouble getting maintenance meds and had to go to urgent care for a UTI… I also had forms for insurance disability that never was a problem … but his office staff never returned the insurance company that need more info . Had problems getting results. Then I started getting scheduled with PA. I never missed an appt .. I hated to leave but can only miss so maintenance meds . Always an issue with someone in the back office. Never got call backs.

Saw him once. After that saw NPs. Which is ok with me, I actually like the NPs, just be aware. Also, it’s impossible to call them. They don’t answer and don’t return messages, and I’ve never been able to use the pt portal because I cannot get it to work, and not for lack of trying…..no help from the office with that either. It’s a real specialization, so no one else in the area to go to.

I highly recommend Dr. Aly. He answers all my concerns and gives me great advice. My wait time in the waiting room was no more than 10 min each time I have gone. After going to the back examining room I did have to wait about 10 min which is usually normal for most of the doctors I see. His staff is very friendly and helpful. The technician that does the blood work is great. So yes, I highly recommend Dr. Aly.

Dr. Sarfraz Aly is the BEST!!!! If you’re looking for an Infectious Disease physician that’s caring, attentive, and listens to you then he’s the one.

He is a wonderful Dr and marvelous person. He takes his time in taking care of patients. He also makes sure all patient’s answers are detail answered. I will recommend Dr Safray Aly to anyone who is looking for an infection control doctor.

Dr Sarfraz Aly is a very competent doctor. He knows his job well and explains to the patient in easy to understand terms. The office staff is friendly and helpful. The office itself is a new facility and is comfortable and clean. There is an attendant that will ask you if you would like something to drink, as well the attendant will give you a clean hot disposable cloth to clean your hands, once you are in the checkup room. I would definitely recommend Dr. Sarfraz Aly. Great Doctor and a wonderful facility

Dr. Aly is a wonderful doctor. He has a great bedside manner, is very professional and very personable. He made sure I completely understood my medical issues and I feel very comfortable with his diagnosis and treatment plans for me.

I have been a patient of Dr. Aly in Sugarland since my hospitalization 10 months ago. He treated me for double pneumonia and sepsis. He has great concern for his patients. He communicates well with his patients and my care team. His new office is state of the art and his staff is very attentive and efficient. I would highly recommend.

Dr. Aly is always helpful, I met him in the hospital almost 5 years ago and he has never done me wrong!!! Sasha and along with staff are also helpful...love the new location!

Informative, productive visit

My first encounter with Dr Lay was as an inpatient at Methodist hospital sugar land his manner is always professional and pleasant and he clearly explains your care and treatment plan. I would gladly recommend him to family and friends.
