I've been a patient of Dr. Patel's for over 10 years. At the risk of sounding phony, he has restored my faith in HMO medical care. No long waits to get appointments, no long waits at the office, he's patient and listens and explains. Even though I moved 20 miles away (over two years ago), I still don't want to change my doctor. I don't mind driving 45 minutes to see him.

Pacific Harbor Medical Group gets new patients, run tests and charges them out of pocket amounts without telling them how much the visit will cost them. I visited the office for a yearly exam on September 21, 2017. November 29 I called the billing department and spoke with Karen, the office manager, about a sur.prise bill. She stated that the nursing assistant didn't write yearly exam as the reason for the visit. My insurance wouldn't cover this visit. I am now stuck with this unexpected bill.
