Very knowledgeable
I saw Dr. Girnius for a second opinion on my myeloma treatment. He is exceptionally knowledgeable on all of the treatment options, research, clinical trials, and positives and negatives of each. I left the appointment reassured and with a clear path forward.

This was my mom's 3rd time getting cancer so this was her forth oncologist (1st hematology) but the care given was definitely much less than the others she has had.. With her last 2 previous rounds of chemo the preventative care was much better-I asked about mouth sore prevention we should do BEFORE the side effects came.. and they didn't start her on anything saying it wasn't likely and they ended up absolutely horrific- Dr. Girnius said they were the worst he had seen actually... Dr. Girnius' bed side manner got better as he got to know my mom but wasn't great in the beginning. Lots of Jokes. Discusses how busy he is to patients and their family. Lacking compassion- just kinda told my mom her Dx without much empathy... When Bone marrow testing a test wasn't ordered that should have been (according to the James- who asked us not to have any more bone marrow tests done with Trihealth so they could ensure they were testing for everything needed... )

I would recommend him to my children and grandchildren. He has my completed trust. Doc G always spent plenty of time with me and explained everything about my case.

Only if you have unlimited time.,.starts out good, loses interest and you are no longer important enough to be seen nor respected enough to get a response. Orders for labs somehow lost, no one knew about any labs. Sat in exam room with no one letting me know anything for close to an hour. Left unseen by the doctor...maybe he had an emergency..who knows??no one bother to inform me of anything. Find a doctor that respects your time.
