Dr Patel was everything we needed! I first met him in July 2021 when my daughter was having GI issues. I was a nervous wreck as a new mom of twins, and his calming presence was so reassuring! I felt heard with all the questions he asked to better understand her symptoms and to get to the bottom of what was going on with her. He was caring interacting and examining her, and it’s like she’s a new baby after his diagnosis. He laid out her treatment plan very clearly of what to expect and instructions of dos and don’ts. I also liked his honesty about a couple of things I asked. He never shut down any of my ideas, but he rather explained which options had scientific studies to back it up vs which one didn’t. That made me feel included and comfortable with the direction we were going. Lastly, I appreciated that he noticed my state of stress and made it a point to acknowlege the challenge I was facing and to comfort me before we left the appointment.
