Dr. Schuman Tam, MD

Dr. Tam is a brilliant diagnostician, and one who takes whatever time is necessary to understand, discuss, diagnose and treat your allergies. He is compassionate, kind, and highly professional, and thorough when discussing your problems. He asks excellent questions and explains things thoroughly.Dr. Tam kept his practice open well beyond closing on my first appointment, to treat anaphylaxis.. When I was diagnosed with glaucoma recently he caught the fact that my eye drop prescription ( Timolol) belongs to a group of medications called beta blockers, which are associated with greater risk for severe anaphylaxis; He suggested I discuss this with my glaucoma specialist to see if there was a prescription without beta blockers, w I am now taking glaucoma medication without beta blockers. Dr. Tam is a physician who is highly attentive to all factors influencing a patient’s allergies.

Dr Tam is very thoughtful in diagnosing my issues. He is an excellent doctor and I would highly recommend him. I trust his opinion where my health is concerned. I wish he could be my primary doctor as well as my allergist. His assistant is wonderful too. I think her name is May. She is very helpful.

Dr. Tam is an excellent doctor. He spent time explaining what tests he would do and why. He made sure all my questions were answered. He is very kind and patient. He was able to get my allergies under control with shots and my stomach issues by testing me for celiac. I am living a pretty normal life through all the dust, pollen, mold... that is out there. I was told by two other physicians that he is one of the best and I agree. His staff is always courteous and friendly even when they are super busy. Hi highly recommend him.

He wont accept Medicare leaving seniors without allergy assistance in the entire county! Shameful

I have several autoimmune issues. Dr. Tam was easy to talk to and gave me excellent care.

The doctor himself is fine, but his office is unhelpful and doesn't seem to answer the phone all the time. I also had a serious issue with a zero refill request for an ongoing maintenance medication, which they denied without notifying me. But as they said brightly on the phone, "currently he's the only doctor in town."
