Exceeded Expectations
I’m sitting in my overnight recovery suite, so long term I don’t know what the next few weeks hold. I can tell you that my interactions with Dr. Anseth were great. He is very personable and goes out of his way to explain everything to you. I was a little nervous the morning of my surgery and he did a great job setting my mind at ease. This goes for the Anesthesiologist, Nurse Anesthetist, RN’s, front desk, you name it. They were all great. Dr, Anseth also explained in detail what happened during the surgery and it was very apparent that he was settling for nothing less than a great outcome. I will need my other hip done in the next 5 years and know where I will be returning…..

Total Hip Replacement
I had a total hip done in August. Had ZERO pain with the procedure. Dr. Anseth is an awesome surgeon. He was highly recommended to me and he did not disappoint. He thoroughly explained the procedure and what to expect. He was personable and pleasant. Would definitely go to him again and I recommend him to others.

I was completely disgusted with him. Arrogant, and not the least bit interested in helping me through post-surgical complications. He initially refused to see me for follow-ups, turfing me to his assistant instead. When I finally insisted on an appointment with him personally, he refused to help ("I'm not going to do anything for you" is an exact quote), in spite of my obvious pain and disability. His assistant, Heidi, was equally useless; her cloying response to all of my questions was a cutesy "Tincture of time." I was a case that would have benefitted from a "manipulation under anesthesia" technique to break up post-surgical scar tissue, but Anseth refused to act during the window of time for which that procedure is efficacious, and I am instead left with a painful click in my knee when I try to straighten -- and that's AFTER five weeks in a cast, prescribed by a different orthopedist, to allow my leg to straighten at all. Dr. Anseth is a jerk. I wish I had had a different surgeon.

Dr. Anseth replaced my hip. He NEVER came to the hospital to check on me. I now have 1 leg shorter than the other and it has caused major problems. I am in constant pain.

It was a long wait getting to see Dr. Anseth, but very well worth it & no fault of his, given the current Covid 19 pandemic. I have never had a Doctors appointment move along so fast, from the moment I checked in, to Xrays, to the actual assessment of what was going on with my knee.

The entire encounter was clouded by COVID19 related lack of a full complement of supportive and ancillary forces which challenged ready communication regarding scheduling and queries. The in-hospital experience was less affected and was excellent.

I interviewed two other surgeons pertaining to my knee problem within my health network but didn't feel confident with them. I had heard good things from Dr. Anseth's patients so I went to him in 2018. He was the best! Offered options to treat the problem and had a genuine caring manner. The surgery work fantastically! Now that I have the other knee problem, he again has offered options and a plan of action. I highly recommend Dr. Anseth!

Dr. Anseth was recommended to me by my first orthopedic surgeon who was retiring. He has performed all tree of my replacements that include both knees and a hip. I have been very happy with the results. I live in the northern suburbs and he is worth the trip. I recommend him to anyone that needs orthopedic surgery.

Quite conservative in delivering only appropriate needed care. He and his staff are a well oiled machine, know each other well, and seem to work as a true team in his patients best interest. Personally been seeing him for a few years. He has been tuning me up for a long time, in order to guarantee the best results possible.
