Totally incompetent
Was admitted through ER. He saw me for 2 minutes in morning. Didn’t explain anything or options that were not word for word what ER doc had written. Didn’t follow instructions given by ER. I had to remind nurse that they wanted more labs drawn. Made me feel rushed to be discharged and when they decided to keep me another day due to pain they were unable to get him to call back for any questions or concerns or labs that were drawn. I felt looked down on or that I was somehow faking my condition that changed my body drastically in one day. He cancelled all my medications despite them being written by my other physicians. I constantly was told by nurses that they were unable to reach him. Or they were still waiting to hear back from him. Felt the nurses were as frustrated as I was as they didn’t know what they were to be doing for my condition. Felt everyone including myself were winging it and hoping for the best. Based on labs I should still be in hospital.

Should not be allowed to treat any patients
If I could give no stars I would. I was sent to him by my GI doctor to place a surgical J tube as I have had an NJ tube for going on two years. My GI wanted it done to better my quality of life. Baker instantly rejected my GI’s request and felt that removing a section of my stomach was much more important. He also proceeded to tell me that I don’t know enough about my medical conditions to have any knowledge about what is best for me. I have been heavily involved in my own care and done extensive research on my conditions to know what is going on. When I told him that I wanted to do what was recommended by my doctor he said that he would not be forced to do a surgery that he doesn’t agree with. He has absolutely horrible bedside manner and should not be allowed to see/treat any patients.

Gross Negligence
Dr. Baker made me feel real comfortable through my issues. However, three months after my CT scan, I get a call from his office informing me I need to sign release papers for a referral. For what? An aneurysm on a blood vessel. Excuse me? They said Dr. Baker discussed it with me. Um no. I would have remembered that. Seems some important information was left out. Not very professional and very scary on my end, three months later.

Had a hemroidectomy on 6/2/17. Dr Baker was very brief and arrogant in explaining anything to me prior to surgery. At my follow up, he did not even do a physical exam despite me telling him I was still having issues. Now over a year and a half later I have more problems than before I had surgery. He spent maybe 5 minutes with me. My primary care doctor examined me and stated that it didn't look like I had surgery at all. Worst surgeon I've ever experienced.

Made a surgical error and failed to correct the issue in time resulting in the death of a family member. Arrogant and incompetent. I would never let him near me or someone I love.

He accommodated our young daughter being present after the exam. All questions were well, but briefly answered. Surgery results seem excellent.
