Phenomenal surgeon
Dr. Bartlett performed facial surgery on me in 2021. I went to a lot of consults due to my uncertainty with proceeding with the surgery. He was patient, pleasant and empathetic. I made the best decision choosing him and I can’t believe I’ve waited this long to write a review (life happens). He was re-assuring on my surgery day and kept me informed on what I’d expect. He listened, he answered my many many questions, and he put me at ease over a surgery I never thought I’d have and which I was so nervous to go through. I wouldn’t trust any other surgeon the way I trust him and his team. His clinical team is a god send, they put you at ease and are extremely accomodating. The result of the surgery & all follow up appointments is amazing and I’m so grateful to have found him! Thank you, Dr. Bartlett

Dr Bartlett is an amazing doctor. He performed my son’s craniosynistosis surgery and the scar is barely visible. Post surgery we had some concerns and called, we talked to a doctor on call almost immediately. There are many doctors out there who are more charismatic and chatty but when it comes to someone operating on my baby, I pick skill and professionalism over an outgoing personality any day!

He is excellent. I would not let anyone else operate on my face again. He managed to fix the mess left after 3 other attempts to repair a defect after a Mohs surgery for melanoma.

I am an ophthalmologist in Philadelphia. I went to see Dr. Bartlett to have a 2 mm diameter mole removed from my cheek. I asked Dr. Bartlett to simply shave off the mole and make it flush with my face. I waited over an hour past my scheduled appointment. He literally stuck his thumb in my mouth, pushed my cheek out under the mole, and took a #15 Bard-Parker blade to slice off the mole. I was left with a noticeable divot ~ 2 mm deep where the mole was. He told me f/u PRN. Rude and incompetent!

I was disappointed. CHOP came highly recommended & given the fact we were seeing the chief plastic surgeon, I expected more. The doctor was running late & overbooked to begin with, & when he finally saw my kids it seemed he hadn't taken any time to review my kids' medical records. I briefly explained their injuries, he offered a wait & see approach & was ready to move on. I'd prepared several questions, only managing to ask one & even then it seemed like I was inconveniencing him.

We took our 6 month old daughter to be evaluated for phagiocephaly. We were seen for 10-15 minutes 1 hour after our scheduled appointment. He didn't ask us who we were, didn't ask our daughters name and provided no medical expertise. Nor did he adequately or intelligently explain our options for treatment. He had no etiquette or bedside manner. I'm married to a Surgeon so I understand the medical side of patient care and he was just down right unprofessional.

While I believe Dr Bartlett is highly competent, he is not responsive to patient questions/ issues after the surgery. All communication must go through his assistant and often the assistant responds to the inquiry rather than Dr. Bartlett himself. I had numerous questions about how my year long recovery from plastic surgery was progressing and the generalized answer (through the staff) was, it's normal. Nothing proceeded normally and I was given no reassurance that I would ever be normal!
