Top of his field
Unmatched. I am always so grateful for both Dr. Beede's and Sharon's concern and time. Dr. Beede searches deep and never is one for a quick answer and on to next patient. He reviews everything and I enjoy that we can have a few moments to just speak as friends. As a former dentist with a large office, I know about how to treat people and Dr. Beede and staff nail it. I have referred four families to his office and they are all very pleased. One was my former primary care practictioner from NJ who has retired. The other is my brother-in-law -- a Harvard educated physician. They both are impressed with his skills.

Arrogant. Does not listen. Miserable manager.
Listens only to himself. Among other things he was not even aware of lab work I dropped off prior to visit, He sounds more like a nutritionist than a physician. Gloomy stark office with no sign of medical equipment or any medical professionals. Nasty, sloppy looking, manger is clearly occupationally misplaced in a medical setting. I can verify the highest number of 1 star ratings I negligently found after my visit.

Good staff and doctor
He pays attention to details and reads details on your chart. They run pretty much on time. I have heard bad stories about wait times with other internists. I work full time in Ft. Laud so this helps to keep things easier for me. I trust him and appreciate his staff. He is conservative with prescribing, he doesn't over-prescribe. I like that he changed an antibiotic that a walk in clinic has provided over the weekend, and adjusted the prescription for my slight asthma. He is careful.

Rich R, Boca Raton. I have been a patient of Dr. Beede since earlier this year. Most recent visit was today, 9/25. He’s very smart; his knowledge is up-to-the-minute and readily shares it; he gives me as much time as I need (not rushed); and his Midwestern roots and sensibilities are very refreshing. I also feel good about his staff. They have been kind and efficient taking care of business.

avoid
I hated my experience. Was a patient for a few years. Beede thinks he is God and won't listen to patients opinion. I asked for an additional blood test to check something I was concerned about and he refused. Sharon and the guy there are both incredibly rude. Sharon actually told me "good luck in finding another doctor in boca". Awful

ARE PATIENTS THE ENEMY?!
Ask Sharon the office manager, who regularly fights (loudly) with patients, is rude and hugely disrespectful. And hubby (the Dr) is ok but is *never* going to go the extra mile… he strikes you as low energy. Patients are looking for care… not condescension… you think they would know that. ??

Rude phone interaction
Refused to mail or email me my lost bloodwork prescription and refused to allow me to speak to the doctor. Told me not to call again and hung up on me Note the Dr. is 30 miles from my home. The Drs reaction when I wrote to him about the above was to discharge me as a patient!

Not Proactive
In some 10 years of going to this doctor, NEVER did he do or refer an EKG. Now there is a problem but NO baseline to know if there was something wrong long ago. He considers himself a "minimalist" but certain tests should be used for caution signs of potential later issues, especially when people reach "senior" age.

Best doctor I've ever had. Doesn't waste my time
Scott Beede doesn't waste my time with unnecessary small talk. He's always respectful; his diagnoses are straight up and truthful, and pricing is reasonable and he and his staff are above all kind. Best doctor ever for this Vetteran.

Horrible staff
Ordered bloodwork at independent lab. Some tests and urinalysis weren't included. Needed to go back for more bloodwork, Since I have an enlarged prostate, a PSA test should have been included. He didn't prescribe it. Consequently, had to get Urologist to order it. All of this could have been done with one bloodtest.

Unsatisfied
have no problem with the Doctor. He's thorough and listens well. However, the staff is rude and condescending. For example, I needed a copy of recent bloodwork, and they wanted to charge me a Dollar per page, Believe me, it wouldn't change my lifestyle, but I believe they had a lot of nerve to want to charge me. I needed a script refill, and they wouldn't do it without my visiting them. When getting bloodwork, he didn't prescribe a Urine Test. When I inquired why not, I was told that my Kidney doctor should do that. Consequently, I had to return to the lab numerous times in order to get a complete blood workup.

Dr. Beede is well versed in nutrition and diet trends. He would make a good Dietitian and maybe good at basic first aid. His office does not do lab work etc in office. You have to make appt at 3rd party lab which is not good during this time of COVD because it increases exsposure. I found him to be very ridged and inflexible. My insurance changed and would not pay for lab work unless I saw DR 1st and Dr. Beede would not see me unless I did my labs. So I found another Dr. and very happy with them. Much more detailed and knowledgeable. Does not go on and on about one subject "diet trends". I would like to see Dr. Beede med schools grades. I'm betting C - avg. Please stay away if you have more than mild illness.

Horrible practice; have lived in South Florida since 1981 and my doctor of 30+ years had retired. Changed to this doctor and his practice will "dictate" two annual physicals per year and "fire the patient" if not following their guidelines, even when bloodwork is perfect. A sham of an operation and beware of "Sharon" -- horrible to deal with. Absolute "worst primary care doctor" in 40 years living in South Florida.

An excerpt of the email sent to Scott: The end result of your lack of professional judgement, poor communication style, and refusal to prescribe an antibiotic until pain was present in a patient, or follow up UA on a patient with a history of UTI's led my mother to be admitted to the emergency room at Boca Raton Regional Hospital on Monday, June 28, 2021. Your superiority and godlike attitude may work for a few, but, you did not treat my mother like you would treat your mother or loved one. And if you did, I feel sorry for those in your life. Medical delivery is not about following your routine and protocol, sometimes, you have to work on the fly, cause you can not predict what is presented nor the outcomes in every given situation.

Dr Beede is extremely professional as is his staff. Never once did I feel that anyone in his office was rude. But then I am very courteous and light hearted. Being friendly and being attentive as a patient is very important. You reap what you sow. All is well with me and Dr Beede. His training speaks well for my treatment. All questions are always answered. I'm never rushed.
