Disc Replacement 1st Meeting
Dr Blumenthal answered all my question. I actually brought a list that I had hand written. He didn’t rush me and I felt like he was engaged during our visit. At one point I had to pause and gather my emotions. He told me not to worry and take my time. He said he was in no rush. I was very pleased with my visit. Dr B was great!

I'm very disappointed
I visited Dr Blumenthal and after going to get the MRI he said he'll need to have a disk replacement surgery and an appointment was set. But after having a previous failed surgery with another doctor, I was hesitant and cancelled the appt. I tried therapy but didn't work and a month later contacted his office again to set up a new appt. This time he told me to do a bone density scan, so I did. I waited and waited for his office to call me to give me the results but they never did. The pain had increased so much that I can't sleep or walk sometimes. I called his office to ask what was going on and they told me he was out of the country and he was going to call me in 2 wks but now almost 6 wks later and I have left numerous messages to his 2 office but no response. Since the first day I felt he didn't have the time to talk to me or if I asked too many questions he was getting annoyed. The worse experience was at the front desk, every single person is not in the mood to work.

Artificial Disc Replacement
I came all the way from NJ to be operated on by Dr. Blumenthal at TBI. The surgery was a success. The staff was very professional. Anyone looking to have spine surgery, I highly recommend Texas Back Institute.

Blooming’ Blumenthal!
Drs. Blumenthal & Bowden and their staff are THE best. I researched many spinal/orthopedic doctors before settling on Texas Back Institute (“TBI”). All their docs are some of the best-rated in the country, and Dr. Scott Blumenthal is not only a founder of TBI, but also THE disc guru. I am very pleased with Dr. Blumenthal’s bedside manner, knowledgeable answers to all my questions, and expertise in the fusion surgery he performed on my lower back.

Disc replacement
Everyone was wonderful, from the time I first called with questions till the time I got a plane to come home. I was very nervous about having surgery 1500 miles from home, but by the time I got there and had the surgery I knew I was around good people who actually cared. I’ve never had a better experience and trusted the people trying to fix me. May God bless you all !

I saw Dr. Blumenthal for disc replacement in my neck...He answered all of my questions....he was amazing! As was his assistants....surgery was preformed at the surgical center on site. To say it was amazing would be an understatement!!!! The best hospital ever!! They took such good care of me!! Dr. Blumenthal came to check on me...answered all my questions, the assistant came by and checked on me, as did the anesthesiologist and PT! I ordered my meals....and they were delicious!! The nurses had the best attitudes, were kind, caring and really cared about my pain, my healing. My PT has been just as amazing as the rest of the Texas Back Institute. I would never go anywhere else for spinal issues!

If I could leave a negative review I would. My daughter has degenerative disc disease and has had prior back surgery to have two bulging discs repaired. After moving down to Dallas she started experiencing pain and Blumenthal was recommended to us. His front office staff and assistant were great to work with and after meeting with them, getting x-rays and MRI done we met Blumenthal for our consultation on treatment options. He seemed annoyed from the minute he walked in. Without referencing any

While I believe Dr. Blumenthal may be a brilliantly educated Physican, his clinic bedside manors are lacking. I flew in from Los Angeles only to spend 5 min with Dr. Blumenthal in clinic, he doesn't really want to answer questions. You're better off seeking care elsewhere.

I'm a retired military health care professional with service related spine injuries and two unsatisfactory corrective military and VA surguries. Consulting with Methodist, Presbyterian and Texas Back Institute. I was most impressed with Dr, Blumenthals complete attention to my needs, desires and understanding. His compassion in working towards the best solution gained my total trust. He performed two surgeries with both resulting in 100% corrective results. The third just proved as successful.
