I felt like he didn't listen and talked me into a procedure that I felt I didn't need which was a waste of money.

I was suffering from extreme indigestion and pain in my esophagus for quite some time before seeing Dr. Hahm. He is an amazing doctor. He took his time with me and listened to my problems and did not stop until he found the cause of my symptoms and the remedy for them.

Saw Dr Hahm for Ulcerative Colitis. Despite discussing how I had a negative reaction to mesalamine in the past, and my bloodwork showing we'd need to lower dosage, Dr Hahm prescribed me the exact same dosage, and higher in a second form of same drug. I ended up hospitalized for 3 days as a result. Did not show great attention nor care to concerns raised throughout treatment. Stopped treatment with him shortly after beginning as there are more attentive doctors available. All our interactions felt rushed and curt.

Great doctor, much appreciated for his thoroughness, skills and open line of communication. Also appreciated is the warmth of his office staff and the humanizing environment of his associates at St. Joseph's hospital. And the UCLA patient portal, which instantly chronicles patient history, office visits and procedures with the doctors' notes and recommendations is unsurpassed for detail and efficiency. This should be the model for all other programs.

This guy. I could tell that he took a vested interest in everything I was saying. He didn't seem rushed when he took the time to explain options to me, and he answered every question I asked, making sure to verify understanding. If I had any friends or family that were in need of a GI in the area, I'd definitely point them in Dr. Hahm's direction.

Was recommended through UCLA Motion picture and television health. Never heard of Dr. Hahm, but found his examination to be thorough and thoughtful. He listened took copious notes and still had time to explain the different procedures he was doing as well as patiently answer all of my questions. He had no reviews on here and I am happy to recommend him with a 5+ star rating.
