Dr Holthusen was the first surgeon to give me hope that he could straighten my foot and possibly give me the ability to be able to walk again. I look forward to the surgery.

I thought Dr. Holthusen was professional and thorough in his examination of my swollen knee. He listened carefully to my descriptions of where it hurt and what I thought I did to my knee. He asked good, clarifying questions, and then, after examining my knee and reviewing my x-rays, he explained what the problem was and the first steps I should take toward improving my knee. First steps did NOT include surgery or an MRI, but physical therapy to strengthen muscles around my knee (when I came in to see him, I REALLY wanted an MRI - thought it would explain everything!). I have had one physical therapy appointment so far (and two days of at-home exercises) and already my knee is feeling better!

I recently saw Dr. Holthusen for foot pain. I was impressed with both his knowledge and kindness. He explained, in detail, the cause of my problem and provided immediate relief via shoe insoles and physical therapy. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Holthusen is the first foot doctor I've met over 20 years who said he could help my situation. He took all the time I needed to fully explain the procedure to me. I feel confident he is the right doctor for me. I trust him and his wonderful, empathetic staff.

Performed surgery on my husband that never made his initial symptoms improve. Dr Holthusen straight up accused my husband of lying about his symptoms for work compensation. Finally after a year and a half of worsening symptoms saw a second Dr and he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis the next day. Really wish this doctor had taken him seriously and discovered the cause of his symptoms sooner instead of performinguunnecessary surgery (and leaving stitches under his skin!) . Very unprofessional and extremely uncaring additude!

Dr. Holthusen was an answer to our prayers for our 11 year old daughter. She dealt with more pain than any child should have to because of an extra bone in each foot. Dr Holthusen took one conclusive, confident look at her relatively uncomplicated situation, and helped us quickly understand everything we needed to know to make the surgery decision that would restore our daughter to the pain-free foot function she now enjoys.

Dr Holthusen is an excellent orthopedic surgeon. He is the 4th orthopedic surgeon to operate on my foot, in 2 different states. Dr Holthusen spent sufficient time in the office, to explain my foot problem to me. Afterwards, he provided many options with possible outcomes. I would highly recommend Dr Holthusen as an orthopedic surgeon.

I feel extremely fortunate and am happy to say I am a patient of Dr. Scott Holthusen from Twin City Orthopedics. I felt like I had a partner, someone who saw me as a person and not an ankle. He is a skilled surgeon and compassionate listener. I am now 12 weeks post op and feel like I have my life back. I would highly recommend Dr. Holthusen not only for his surgical excellence, but also his person centered compassionate care.
