Dr. Scott Karlene, MD

Dr. Karlene is only in the Warren office only one afternoon a week at this point (and usually takes weeks or months to actually get scheduled to see). The rest of time urgent issues are handled via a PA and nurses. Office staff quality varies dramatically, sometimes can be rather hostile.

Office PA or Doctor never called me back. I tried twice in 3 days. Existing patient for years. Too bad. Having a problem but no return call. Looking elsewhere.

I went in to see them for the first time in June for a suspicious spot on my back. On that visit they biopsied the area. Told me it would be three weeks before I received the results. On 7/7/21 went in was told it was malignant melanoma. Handed me a pamphlet on the cancer. Told me surgery was scheduled for 7/16/21. I requested copy of pathology report on 7/8/21. No call back I showed up 7/12/21. Receptionist seemed annoyed but I got a copy and asked a few questions regarding procedure on 7/16/21 they charged me 25.00 for that visit and was not forthcoming with any information on questions asked. They gave me a small container of numbing cream and sent me on my way. They clearly could tell I was super anxious but offered minimal support. Fast forward to 7/19/21 I’m experiencing significant burning deep where my incision is. I went in yet they were evasive and offered no kind of resolution other than if burning doesn’t subside come back in three days. As a nurse I find their approach odd

Dr. Karlene is a fabulous doctor! A true professional who is very thorough and caring. I highly recommend.

Dr Karlene is the BEST DERMATOLOGIST EVER! He has been my doctor for 20+ years and I have followed him to ever office he’s worked. I don’t trust anyone else with my sensitive skin. Not only is he great at his profession but he is compassionate. He supplied me with samples when my insurance denied paying for a medication that was proving effective for my skin condition. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Karlene for your dermatological needs.

Well if you want to sit for hours. Have one of the most miserable receptionist as if she was to good to do her job as it was so beneath her. So much make up but it never hid her nasty scowl. And you too can watch her treat people like cattle, because the wait is long. Remember, first impressions. Oh and I never did get to see the Doctor, he is only there Fridays. And you can not see him unless he has to do removal or surgery. So $120.00, and that is WITH BCBS. #iamnotcattle Rubbish !

I go to the Warren location, I have had the needling done by Ann Marie, she did an excellent job! She was so happy with the results she had the rest of the staff come in to see how much of an improvement was made. The staff is so nice, helpful, and caring. I can't wait to see the before and after pic's!! I can't say enough about Ann Marie she is awesome. She will take good care of you I promise.

Lorie Hilliard, Is one of the best nurses there and it is a very pleasant environment.

Always a great experience. The only place I trust for fillers. Annmarie is fabulous. She really cares about her patients & gives 100% to achieve the best results. I highly recommend.

Dr Karlene is extremely thourgh and accurate. He takes his time to determine the root cause of an issue and treats it accordingly. He was the only physician that could diagnose and treat my mothers issues. Just ?? Him!! And his staff, especially Annemarie Outstanding!! Highly recommend this practice!!!

Incredible professionals! Love everyone who I've met at the office. I've always had sensitive skin & they're all knowledgable about anything I throw at them. My experiences here have been very different from other derm offices that send you off without results. The office is beautiful & clean & you can tell everyone there truly loves what they do.
