Dr. Scott Linger, MD

He was the doctor who did my left knee surgery and he was amazing throughout the whole experience!

Dr. Linger always treated me with kindness and compassion. He made me feel like a person in an industry that often treats you like a body. I remember he held my hand and said some nice, reassuring words right before going into surgery. It makes a world of difference to have total trust in your doctor during such a scary moment in your life. He also took the time to carefully explain my injury after the MRI results and all my options to fix it. He even drew out diagrams so I could really understand what was happening and make an educated decision. I highly recommend Dr. Linger.

He is responsible for my great new knee. I believe his care and direction shortened my healing time. His surgical skill has given me a neat, tidy scar. The best advice I ever got was to follow post-op care. Dr. Linger’s follow-up was the best.

I wish I could leave no stars for Dr. Linger. He is a horrible doctor. He is so arrogant it is unbelievable. I was referred to him by another doctor in his practice who I have gone to for years and who has helped me a great deal. When I mentioned something his partner had said he had the audacity to trash him! He did not answer my questions, didn’t explain anything and I ended up leaving with no help and more bills. Do not go to this narcissistic jerk. He couldn’t be any more unprofessional.

This site should allow 0 star ratings. Dr. Linger is a prime example of all that is wrong in healthcare today. Arrogant, uncaring, rushed, unwilling to explain anything and ultimately unhelpful. Dr. Linger couldn’t be bothered to explain what was wrong with my joint and just wanted to give an injection and get to the next patient. As I was awaiting an X-ray I also heard him explain to a nurse that he was referring patients to another practice “to help them get some business.” I was at the Bloomington location which has some amazing Doctors, unfortunately Dr. Linger is not one of them.

Dr. linger is an arrogant and unhelpful provider. I would not recommend going to him. I have a fully torn ACL that happened 9 months ago and every time I’ve been to him he tells me that I don’t need my ACL since I’m not a professional athlete. His colleague told me that I absolutely needed surgery but he refuses to do it and treats me as though I am unworthy of having a working leg. I also had a blood clot that he never treated. He just kept sending me back for expensive ultrasounds. I currently owe a ton of money to this place for absolutely no help at all. I have since switched providers and finally get to get my leg fixed! Highly recommend that you do your research and go elsewhere
