A Doctor Who Does Not Listen
Was visited in the ER to tell me l did not have a stroke. I knew that, I went for severe hemiplegic migraine symptoms and was in active AFib. He put a two psychiatric diagnosis in my record. I have microvascular spasms and disease that cause the migraines. Now l have to correct my record. If he asked questions or cared about me as a patient, I could have told him. I saw him once for just enough time for him to say you didn’t have a stroke, he said absolutely nothing else about the incorrect diagnosis he added to my record.

Amazing Dr. Selco with our Mom Mary Sberna
This is continued on from the previous review about Mary Sberna. He found that our Mom had been having mini untracked strokes and when she went through the one here at St. Rose that is where his compassion came!! She was a very very alert and physical 91 year old and swam every day and just knew her body! This is why we never experienced any mini strokes with her in front of us. He explained everything that came with this situation and we could not feel guilty! Our beautiful Mom ended up having to do hospice at her apartment that was right by the pool and passed away with her kids and grandkids and close friends by her side! He did everything possible for her! Dr. Selco, prepared me and my 31yr old daughter and my sister what was coming and just cared so very much for people he didn't know! I will never forget this man and would trust him with my family all over again!!! Thank you Dr. Selco

Avoid this doctor
Very disrespectful and short. Says my mom was “misdiagnosed” but provided no answers or suggestions on next steps. I tried to ask questions but he became agitated and snappy. He got up and said he would come back and never returned. Even a 1 star rating is too generous.

Very disrespectful talking to my wife in the hospital. His way or no way attitude is no way to treat patients. Would give a o rating if allowed. He charged the most of any doctor seen in the hospital and did absolutely nothing to fix the problem. Stay away from Doctor Selco.

When my husband started experiencing terrible symptoms with no diagnosis, Dr. Selco was part of a brilliant team and because he was able to think outside of the box and with his experience and knowledge, we were able to get all the tests and biopsies done to start treatment and proceed on the road to recovery. Dr. Selco answered all our questions and gave us very important information so we would be well informed. His visits were never rushed and always friendly. We Thank you! Joe & Shelly

We endured an right basal ganglia intraparenchemal hemorrhage and Dr. Selco was with us every step of the way. He didn't pull any punches during the family meeting or during the roller coaster ride in all the assorted hospitals that followed. He monitored and motivated us resulting in an extraordinary result. An absolutely complete recovery in the works, after a 77 day hospital stay. As one of the 15%, whom emerge with no disability, after experiencing intracerebral bleed...Thank You Dr. Selco!!

Dr. Selco took excellent care of my nephew when he was critically ill in the ICU. He accurately diagnosed his condition and answered all of my sister's questions in a calm and thorough manner over the course of several days. Thankfully, my nephew is now making a full recovery.

Dr. Selco has been there for my father and family in our time of need. He took the time and care to really figure out what was going in my father's complicated case. Having traveled all over to the best doctors and getting nowhere, he was the one that was able to actually solve the puzzle. Thank you to Dr. Selco my father has a chance at life again!

This dr is terrible. First he tells me I might of had a stroke, but didn't look further into it. I had to ask for the lumbar puncture to rule out MS. He didn't care at all. I had to email to try to get my results but never got them! So now have to go get my medical records and find another neuro doc to look over my brain scans!
