Uncaring Doctor
When the doctor is late seeing you on your scheduled appointment. We never get an apology or a no show credit to our medical bill. However, when we are late to our appointment. I got sent home, which is an hour away with no medication refill script. This is why I'm no longer a patient here. They'd rather loose a year long patient over the I-4 traffic jam that caused me to be late. Oh well, there are many other pain management practices with super nice staff. Doctor Sherman comes off nice at the beginning, but on your follow up visits. He will walk past you without acknowledging you. And they only send 2 weeks of medication to your pharmacy to keep you coming back. They switched my medication 5 times. It was from bad to worse. Sherman called in a pain patch that took my pharmacy 4 days to get in stock. I laid in bed suffering for days and he did nothing about it. They don't even have after hours phone service. They want you to think that the injections work 100% when they don't. They as

If no stars was an option
The staff was AMAZING and extremely efficient and friendly - especially those in the front. I had an amazing experience with a Physician Assistant from here that took his time to explain my herniated, slipped discs, etc. Unfortunately I switched pain management locations because I couldn’t get a word in when speaking to Dr. Sherman; he had zero patience for questions or explanations. Super rude! I felt as though I was wasting his precious time. No beside manner. When I received my paperwork from here he didn’t even bother writing a detailed write up explaining my MRI’s. Shocker. Disappointed.

an iffy visit
Arrived 30 minutes for my appt as instructed by staff (need to refresh file on new computer system), other patients called ahead of me even tho they had later appt time. Nurse had me redo the exact same questions completed thru portal even tho I had just completed the portal 2 days ago. 2 nurses sitting side by side, no one at the desk when I was doing sample, yet I had to wait 30 minutes past scheduled appt time. 2 minutes with Dr Sherman then sent back to front to make an appt for actual procedure 3 weeks from now (have to get insurance auth!!) Shouldnt take 3 weeks to get an authorization from the insurance company. Dr Sherman is fine, the office staff is difficult to work with.

Positive things first. The front desk staff and the doctor's assistant are amazing, they deserve a FIVE stars review. Great customer service from them, beautiful office and great location. My first visit was uneventful, mainly an assessment where he went over my records and asked me a few questions. It was during my second visit where I was speechless at the doctor's unexpected abrasive demeanor towards me. I started to ask a question and before I could even complete my thought he cut me off reacting in a very defensive manner and scolding me like if I were a five year old. I am a 65 yrs old woman and a gentle, respectful, non confrontational person. Since communication is key for a good doctor- patient relationship, after my two visits with him I realized that sadly for me, this is not going to happen with him. He is probably a very good doctor but his demeanor was such a turn off enough to make me never want to go back. Amazed at the impact that a doctor's demeanor can make....

Be careful with this Dr. Problems with submitting request for shots to the insurance never took place. Drug test came back positive with several drugs in my system but when I got the screening results from Quest, it showed negative for those drugs in my system...hmm

Visited Dr. Sherman's office for a second time. At my first visit, my instincts were not to go back. I wish I trusted my instincts. Dr. Sherman is cruel and demeaning. He is verbally abusive. I have not met a worse doctor. Please think more of yourself than to have someone treat you the way he treated me.

If you are only going to see Dr. Sherman for pain meds, don't even bother!! Many negative reviews you see are from people who didn't get what they want. If you do truly want to get better, he is a fantastic doctor. He's hardcore, straight to the point, and sometimes might rub you the wrong way, but he is VERY GOOD at what he does and everything he says and suggests is for your benefit, even if you don't want to hear it!! I was in tremendous pain and on a fentanyl patch for quite a few years, and now I have very little pain and am on NO narcotics at all. NOBODY has ever been able to do that for me. He had to push me and I had to commit, but it was totally worth it.

Dr. Sherman has been my doctor for over three years. He is thorough, kind and caring. He is also brutally honest. If you are examining the reviews of a pain management doctor, you should not expect for every review to be positive. In fact, I would be somewhat skeptical of a pain doctor who did not have some negative reviews.

DR. Sherman has no bedside manner. I found him to be rude and disrespectful of older patients . He certainly has a god complex. Just because I mispronounced anesthesiologist incorrectly , he shouted the word out as to how it should be pronounced!!!! His procedures seemed to be done by staff instead of him.

I have been a patient of Dr. Sherman now for more than 7 years. During that time he has helped me control my pain to the point my quality of life has improved. I am able to do things prior to being his patient was not possible. I highly recommend him as he truly cares for his patients. His entire staff feels the same way in that they care to make sure I leave happy and as contented as I can be. The office is always clean, organized, inviting as an office can be. I wish more doctors were like him

As other reviewers have stated, Dr. Sherman takes time to really talk to you and find out as many details as possible about your pain. I have herniated disks in my neck and muscle spasms. He's done multiple trigger point injections and has greatly improved my quality of life.

I've been with Dr. Sherman for some time. I trust him, explicitly. He does was a lot of physiatrist do not. He treats you many different ways and will help you. He is responsible and actually cares about each patient. I may not always agree with him, but I know, he knows best. Instead of finding a new doctor who will possibly agree with me, I stick with him, because I believe in him. If you are just looking for pain meds, Dr Sherman is not right for you.

My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Sherman for 3 years and are so grateful that we found him. We tried other pain specialists, closer to home, but didn't receive the care we needed until Dr. Sherman. He takes to time to listen to our problems so he can help us find a solution and we are very grateful to him and to the lovely people who work for him.
