Solid Attentive Care
At the age of 71 I believe this is the first doctor I've ever had who's really paying attention. He's smart and knows what he's doing. What more could you want?

I think very knowledgeable man. For a few years we had no major issues until we did…. It appeared to be selective on who he takes his time with. We heard him talk for 30min + hearing thru the walls as we waited… coming in late we were all ready for our turn with issues. Very short and did not take the time to go into the detail… to a year later we went into the hospital and found he kicked my husband to the curb. He fell off the AHN app and we had no PCP. Concerning to share if in need.

Dr. Vargo seemed to put very little effort into my care when I was in the hospital and he was my attending physician. Not only did he not use AHNs EHR (Epic) to identify what medications I had been given he also went off of a false assumption to extend my stay at the hospital by one day. When I pointed out the issues with the extension he laughed it off and could not have cared less. He also has a propensity to use others to deliver information and news he knows the client is not going to like. I would not recommend ever having Dr. Vargo treat you as he seems to have other priorities.

The practice does not answer the phone. You leave your number, and then an outside company calls you back. The outside company can call into the office if the patient's question is interesting enough. If it is, then they can have someone in the office call you. These doctors wouldn't want to talk to their grubby old patients too often, would they?

He is an excellent Doctor, and honestly saved my life by being thorough and carefully examining me, ordering many tests and discovering a life threatening condition. He's extremely concerned about your well being, and literally goes out of his way to help patients. I could not recommend him any stronger.

He does not come across as a caring doctor. Basically, he comes into the room without a greeting (except to say, "What brings you here today?"), looks at the info on his computer, asks a few questions (doesn't listen to the answers; asks the same questions again) and then he leaves the room. AND, he forgot to sign my Wellness Visit card (my wife had to remind him). I requested that my ears be irrigated; but, he forgot (my wife had to remind him).

Dr. Vargo came across as uninterested and busy, when he finally came into the room after I'd waited for an hour and a half. He brought a woman with him, and mumbled something while pointing to her, went to his computer, stood with his back to me and drilled off a series of questions, most not responding to or asking me to elaborate on. When he asked about the side effect of a particular medication, I responded and he turned to the woman and discussed how he'd "heard that too."
