Dr. Seaborn Hunt III, MD

I can't say enough nice things about Dr. Hunt and his staff. I was scared to death and they were all so kind and caring. I wish I would have known about him a year ago.

Dr. Hunt and all of his staff are professional, kind, and efficient. His work is miraculous! I see better now than I’ve ever seen in my entire life. I can see! Everything is so clear and beautiful. No more contacts, no more glasses except while driving. And I don’t really need them for driving, but Florida law requires eye glasses while driving if you have mono vision. I initially started this process with another eye doctor. I was very unimpressed with the revolving door on that place and the fact that no one could quote me accurate financial costs. Then someone recommended Dr. Hunt to me. I will be forever grateful!!! Thank you again Dr. Hunt! You and your staff are the best I’ve ever worked with. I still smile with happiness every morning when I wake up to all the beauty that surrounds me.

I cannot speak to his surgical abilities, but he’s very rude, brusque, and arrogant in manner. He doesn’t look at you, and belittled not just me, but also his wife when I questioned him on using oral antibiotics for a stye. I don’t care if he’s the best surgeon in the world – which I doubt – I will never go back to him. It’s not worth the disrespect. And while his technicians are typically very sweet, one - Karen - is very similar in attitude to Dr. Hunt. At my age I don’t have to put up with any of this. In short, go to another doctor.

Patient beware! If you're wanting to know what is wrong with you, you'd better go somewhere else. I don't generally write reviews, unless it might help someone else from making the same mistake I did. Our last poor experience in this office finally is forcing us to make a change and that was actually the 4th bad experience. The Macular Degeneration diagnosis was the final straw. I am acutely aware of that condition having to take my mother and a friend for the injections. When I stated that we were never told, he stated, "it's in my notes. The dry is now wet". No vitamin samples like he said, no Amsler grid. Was so stunned I couldn't even speak - feel like we lost a year. He does type in his own notes and he probably believes he did tell us, but I assure you that we were told nothing other than watching a video because my husband's cataracts need surgery. We are searching for another opthamologist now that my husband has been accepted into a retina specialist's practice. Out of there!

For two years, I delayed cataract surgery, while I searched for the perfect ophthalmologist. Blessedly, I found Dr. Hunt through friends and research. After my initial visit, my fears diminished and my eyesight has subsequently been restored, as I have just completed surgeries on both eyes. I enthusiastically recommend Dr. Hunt, as he is a caring and skilled doctor and surgeon.

Dr. Seaborn M. Hunt III is an excellent, experienced surgeon who listens to his patients' concerns and gives careful attention to detail. He uses precise procedures to restore the best possible vision to each individual patient. His manner of EXCELLENCE is reflected by his staff members who are also knowledgeable, courteous, and show consideration regarding financial matters. Both Dr. Hunt and his team engender confidence and calm in their patients during pre-operative, operative, and post-operative phases of cataract surgery. I am very grateful for this caring, talented doctor and his wonderful staff, including both office and surgical. BIG THANKS TO YOU, DR. HUNT, for being the best!

Dr. Hunt did cataract and Stigmatism surgery on my left eye on July 13th and the result was amazing clarity brightness and eye test showed 20/20.He then did my right eye on July 27th and again the results are amazing, I have worn Glasses and spent thousands on glasses for 15 years I now own a pair of 1.5 power reading Glasses . I told him this morning during my followup exam how marvelous it was for a Dr. To increase and enhance the quality of life of a 75 year old man. He is truly the best of the best .

Dr. Hunt has horrible bedside manner. He speaks to his patients very condescending and without any patience.

My first eye exam in many years was a very pleasant experience thanks to the efficiency, cordial manner, and concern of Dr. Hill III and his entire staff. I had years of dealing with my husband's doctor specializing in diabetic ophthalmology and experienced crowded waiting rooms, very long period of waiting, and average four hour appointments . The staff made me feel like he was a number, not a person, to them. Everyone at Dr. Hunt III's office left me feeling good about my decision to not try the doctor my husband used. I would highly recommend Dr. Hunt III's Villages office to anyone in need of an eye doctor.
