Dr. Barber is the best and most conscientious surgeons I ever met. He took all the time I needed to ask and respond to my questions and explain in detail the procedure, risks and both pre and post expectations and recommendations. He never pushed me toward surgery, but rather educated me on all the pros and cons and gave me the tools to make an informative decision on my own. I had Extreme Lateral Interbody Fusion and the procedure and recovery have exceeded my expectations. This was all because I was well prepared by Dr. Barber and his staff and he is obviously a skilled and highly educated and respected surgeon. I was recommended to Dr. Barber by a co-worker who had a similar experience within the past year. I highly recommend Dr. Barber for his skill, experience, thoroughness, bedside manner, honesty and overall genuine care and concern for me and my wellbeing.

Dr. Barber exhibited perfect bedside manner. He listened to my concerns and addressed all of my questions and put to rest all of my angst. I underwent one Cervical Dissection and Fusion and one Lumbar Dissection and Fusion. Both surgeries took well, and I am living a new life free from pain and free from taking handfuls of Ibuprofin. My wife saw Dr Barber a year before because of lumbar spine issues. At that time Barber said he could do surgery. My wife elected to try physical therapy. When she went to PT they would not work with her because they were afraid she could injure her back further. Today, my wife saw Barber and asked what he could do and he said he could do nothing for her. So, before he could do surgery but now he can nothing. This guy should go back to medical school.
