If you’re a transgender patient I don’t recommend coming here. While Dr. Ellison is very nice and responds promptly via “My Chart” I finally found a provider who specializes in folks like me. They informed me Dr. Ellison had prescribed me the wrong type of testosterone. (I had no idea there were more than one type.) He also had me panicking over my blood work, and when voicing my concerns he blamed it on my female organs and was pressed on me receiving a hysterectomy. The new specialist I went to said that my female organs have nothing to do with the way my blood work came back, and he was also reading them wrong. He was reading my levels as if I was living life as a female. After transitioning you’re supposed to read levels as a male, so my blood work was nothing to stress over. He also went up and down on my dosages a lot and it caused mood swings and acne. He’s a very nice doctor, but unfortunately, he wasn’t up front about not being knowledgeable in transgender care.

Hateful. Very short temper. My husband will NEVER GO TO HIS OFFICE AGAIN! Better Dr's out there. Stay away!

I would not recommend Dr. Ellison. He has zero passion for his job or his patients. He schedules blood work for after you visit so he doesn't have to discuss it with you. I have found this frustrating because he might change my medication and I would want to ask why but he will be unreachable or will have an assistant field the question. So if I do need to speak to him about anything or if there is a real issue and he needs to speak to me then I have to make another appointment.

Move Along, nothing to see here. Dr. Ellison is like a robot without bedside manners. He's a very cold and and unexpressive person. Never on your life would I recommend this doctor. I have a thyroid condition and I need attention. This one was a complete waste of time.
