Incorrect diagnosis
Dr Rider ordered an MRI and Xrays of my lumbar spine after Oschner and an urgent care took xrays and said I had L3 and L4 compression fractures. He looked at his MRI and xrays. Said I was healed (even though they were broken a month prior and it takes at least 3 months to heal) and he ordered PT and referred me to a pain management doctor (not affiliated with AVALA) in Covington. I saw that doctor 1 week later. He looked at Riders MRI and xrays and said I was not only NOT healed but I needed kyphoplasty surgery to repair the L4 and L5 vertebraes. So I got another set of opinions in Slidell. Both said I was not healed and I needed Kyphoplasty surgery so I had that done yesterday. Therefore, I do not recommend Dr Rider for anything. Plus it took his office 2 days to order the MarI's and it took Avala imaging 4 more days to call to schedule it. In the mean time I git ut done in 2 days at diagnostic Imaging in Slidell. Then his office never ordered the PT.

Went to Dr Rider for lower back pain and having a hard time walking. After an MRI he said the nerves from the spine were crushed in the canal and I needed alamnecety in Oder to open that canal. I asked him if1. It would stop the pain and 2. Would I walk better? His answer to both questions was , yes. SI had the surgery done. Set up two appointments with Rider after the surgery. He failed to show up for either appointment. He told his assistant to tell me to get another MRI and he would talk to me after that. Told him And Avaala to forget it, I’ve had enough of Dr Rider.
