Dr. Secily Bason-Mitchell, MD

I chose Dr. Bason Mitchell as my new gynecologist since I had to get new insurance. She was kind and patient, and took the time to answer a litany of questions I had from the moment I met her. She explained things to me, told me about statistics and studies, and gave me her own thoughtful opinions about things I asked about. I found her to be warm and funny and she talked to me as a fellow woman as well as a doctor. I'm so glad I found her!

It’s been 9 years and I still think about Dr Bason Mitchell all the time. 9 years ago she saved my first borns life as the on call OB when my induction went all wrong and my OB never showed up for one minute of the labor or birth. My son and I were in distress and it was touch and go on needing an emergency C. Dr BM was calm, collected and looked me in the eye and gave me more confidence in myself and her, a stranger minutes ago, than anyone I’ve ever met. My son is a thriving 9 yo today and when I read stories similar to our birth, they do not end with a thriving child. Dr BM saved my life that day and my sons. I think of her often and am so grateful she was on call that day.

Dr Bason-Mitchell is very thorough, direct, and shares studies and statistics. She is an excellent surgeon. I feel so lucky to be her patient.
