Care more about money, than about patients
Visited this doctor during couple weeks with strong pain and he prescribed only painkillers. Doesn't want to know the real reason of the problem. Also on the last visit said that he don't want to write for MRI that my referral is STEADY. Just didn't want to.

Phenomenal! Quality of Life Saving!
Suffered 3 bouts of osteomyelitis; multiple courses of IV antibiotics at home and hospital; 4 surgeries - partial toe amputations, a big toe amputation and a TMA; osteomyelitis ret’d in 1st metatarsal; hyperbaric oxygen treatments - multiple second opinions - nothing worked - all said BKA a must before my ‘never say die’ wife found Dr. Parekh. I was nervous - expected same BKA recommendation. He was calming. He listened. He was thorough. Instead of taking my leg he performed another TMA in less than half the time; much cleaner surgical lines, only took another 2 centimeters, and did a little incision on my tendon to give my foot ability to flex. Saved my leg. Saved my quality of life! His staff and medical team were great too, so was the hospital. He had some tough must follow rules but worth it. If you’re going through it, want best chance of fixing and or saving your lower extremity imo Dr Parekh is your best option! He’s gifted. I am blessed! TY Dr P - your fav patient - Mike McP

Hammer toe & partial bunionectomy
When I first met Dr Parekh, I was unable to wear any shoe and was in constant pain. I reluctantly agreed to have surgery and haven’t looked back! I can walk, dance, exercise and enjoy what life offers. Dr Parekh was excellent in his manner and his professional care. He assured me I would have a successful outcome and I did!

Bunion surgery on both feet, and bunions returned
I had bunion surgery on both feet in 2017/2018, and the bunions (Hallux Vulgus) returned in both feet within 1 year. I only wear flat shoes, and I work from home, so this is not the result of wearing high heels. I moved to Greensboro in 2019, and changed insurance, so I did not follow up with Dr. Parekh. However, I feel he should see the results of the surgery he performed, and improve his methods so that other patients don't have to go through the same ordeal. The recovery was very painful and to have gone through all that and not get the results is beyond disapointing and frustrating. NOTE: The Taylor Bunion surgery on both feet was successful, but the first 2 surgeries for Hallux Vulgus on both feet was 100% unsuccesful.

Regret
I had a bunionectomy in April of last year. The decision to have Dr. Parekh do this surgery is the biggest regret of my life. It’s ruined my life. I use to exercise once or twice a day. I will never be able to do that again. I’m in pain every day, all day. The bunion is back. My foot is swollen all the time, and it’s bruised on the top of my foot every single day. I cannot walk barefoot because of the sheer pain. Dr. Parekh said he had no idea what was wrong and suggested orthotics, which of course didn’t work. He literally did not care that he ruined my life. He wouldn’t listen, or try to give any options to remedy what he had done. I’m only 48 years of age, and I can’t believe I’ll have to continue to live in pain every day of my life. My activities are so incredibly limited now.

The most obnoxious person I have ever encountered in the medical field. I went to him in severe foot and ankle pain in both sides. The first person o enter the room after a nurse took my history was a person trying to sell shoe inserts molded to the feet. This was before I saw the doctor. When I indicated that I was not prepared to buy expensive shoe inserts he left in a huff. Dr. Parekh came in and before even greeting me by name he stated he already knew my story which he Said in an insulting tone of voice. He was absolutely no help whatsoever. He said he could prescribe a topical cream for the pain and I should come back in 2 weeks. Did no exam at all once he could not sell me a molded insert. Oddly the factory rep then came in who said the insert would only cost around 45.00. He said I could find a similar carbon insert online for about the same price. I have an extremely high arch the insert was hard, thin and flat. Big rip off! I was shocked at the manner of this Dr.

Duke office worked hard to get me to a doctor. First visit determined I had an unstable fracture on a Thursday. He told me it had to be operated on and I would hear from his team. They called me later that day and had it set up for the next Tuesday. (Very decisive and clear as to what needed to be done). Surgery went perfect and all instructions after surgery were clear. After surgery I had some questions on week end hours. Calls were returned to me promptly with instructions on how to handle. Dr.Parekh, Kyle, Stephanie and Dema allare knowledgeable and professional. In the county I live in, I live 5 minutes away from good Orthopaedic doctor. But I drive over an hour to Duke - you can not beat the care of this team. I will refer and strongly encourage seeing Dr. Parehk to everyone for the ankle and foot concerns you have. Being able to see him for appointments and surgical needs at different locations are helpful also.

After a extensive national search, Dr. Parekh was identified in the top 10 of Orthopedic Surgeons for Foot and Ankle. I am 50+, extremely active with physical exercise, but progressively sidelined with bunions, hammer toes, broken and dislocated toes. He performed a complex surgery with implants, transplanting/moving tendons, and bunionectomy. The surgery was perfect - outpatient, no pain after the surgery, immediate walking/mobility, recovery time-frames with PT. Thank you - exceptional!

Dr. Parekh is a superb orthopedic physician. He has cared for me in 2 instances and I cannot recommend him highly enough. Most recently he provided surgical relief of my pain from an ingrown toenail. He has a thorough knowledge of the anatomy, and he is a skilled surgeon. I have not suffered further pain from the day of surgery to the present. He treats pain control as part of the healing process
