Dr. Sergey Ananyev, MD

Dr. A has been my urologist for years. From the time I check in with his amazing receptionist to his surgery scheduler, they do a fantastic job. I will add if I ever have any questions with billing, They do ask for your information when you check in. Dr. Ananyev is one if you have a problem, he will get you in and get you taken care of the next day. Highly recommend!

Had 3 surgeries he performed, messed me up. Was to refer me to Birmingham but didn’t. Last procedure was a 6week treatment plan that his office didn’t complete. I had been a patient of Dr. Hughes for many years before Dr. Ananyev. Can’t keep office staff & employees, they are rude, don’t file insurance on time then expect you to pay when insurance says you don’t owe anything. Don’t recommend Dr. Ananyev.

Front staff is very unprofessional. Reluctant to take insurance information. Too lazy to file insurance claims. Tried to bully me into paying out of pocket for expenses that should be covered by insurance. Billing lied and said they filed the claim and insurance didn't pay. In reality, the office never filed the claim. When I refused to pay for something I didn't owe, they refused to let me see the doctor. They actually owed me a credit but refused to pay.Also, this office forces you to do unnecessary procedures so they can charge for it.Will not be back. Not worth your time. Find a doctor’s office that treats you with respect and a customer.

Dr Ananyev is outstanding. He is very energetic and yet very professional. I’ve seen him for several years and was very comfortable and confident in his abilities and chose him to perform a nerve soaring robotic prostatectomy early in 2021. He truly cares for his patients and he and his staff have treated me very well.

I have been to Dr. Ananyev several times in the last two years and consider him to be knowledgeable, caring and up to date on the latest medical methods used in Urology. His office staff is efficient and friendly. The office facilities are modern and clean. Computer systems including appointment reminders and test results seem current state of the art. I do not hesitate in recommending Dr. Ananyev to others needing his expertise.

Dr. Ananyev has now performed 2 kidney stone surgeries on me. He is outstanding in explaining the situation and the options. Knowledgeable, honest, talented. Would not hesitate to use again.

Dr. Ananyev was extremely rude to my 78 yr old dad. Left him lying on a cold, hard exam table, in a gown, prepped for a cystoscope for an hour. The numbing gel had worn off but he did not bother to use more. Dr. Ananyev was very rough and abrupt and offered no apologies. When my dad stated it was very painful for him to lay on a flat, hard surface for over an hour due to severe arthritis, Dr. Ananyev became furious & yelled. Cold, arrogant, uncaring Dr. I would not recommend!!

I just can't say enough good things about Dr. Ananyev. He is a great doctor, and his bedside manner is wonderful! He makes you feel like you are his only patient, and he genuinely does care. I would, and have, recommended him to others.

Read some of the reviews and started having second thoughts about my visit, but I trust my primary care Physician and when I entered the office and met with Dr. Ananyev I realized this could not be the a same person described in the survey. Found Dr. Ananyev to be a very personable, professional and caring individual. He was very friendly and spent time to explain the procedures that were in store. Found his staff to be very friendly and helpful. Would recommend him to my own family!
