Poor overall
Initially I had a good impression. However, post-op after shoulder therapy at follow up visits it was very apparent that he was not patient centered and concerned about my recovery. I was compliant with all physical therapy and my physical therapists repeatedly documented lack of progress in recovery which was concerning to the therapists. At follow up appointments with this surgeon, it was clear he was not even aware I was still going to physical therapy. Therefore, it was clear he was not concerned with reading my notes from physical therapists prior to my appointments or even during my visit. Overall, he is more concerned with his statistics of patients that recover post procedure than actually the well being, progress or lack thereof of his patients post procedure. He has poor bed side manner and doesn't communicate well. He uses intimidation tactics to attempt to get you to agree with his point of view, causing you to feel like he is overlooking your legitimate concerns of painetc

Dr Baublitz did my faulkerson osteotomy in 2014 ( spelling? ) and I went to him a few weeks after having a surgery on the same knee that the dr messed up on, within 5 minutes of being in his office he knew exactly what was wrong what needed to be done and I never felt so safe especially after just having a surgery and about to get sent back to work all while my knee was still messed up and knee cap sliding in and out of place. He honestly has been the best doctor I ever came in contact with; he was so informative & he kept my mom updated right agree my surgery and answered all questions without being short or seeming annoyed and explained exactly what he did as far as my surgery. 6 years later and my knee cap is still in place. BEST DOCTOR EVER!

Dr. Baublitz is a great surgeon and cares about his patients. He did a partial knee replacement for me and it turned out great. He did a fantastic job and also has good bedside manner and humor. I wouldn't go to anyone else but him.

Dr. Baublitz has done a terrific job replacing my left shoulder and left knee from a bad motorcycle, accident not my fault.Idiot not stay around. He was the second person to donate to my new Charity; lloydsrides.org -- to Stop Suicides in Veterans and First Responders. He is always pleasant, and truly knows what he is doing. I would let no one else but him replace anything in me. I trust him completely.

Arrogantly treated me like a criminal because I was on pain meds. I had a failed reconstructive surgery several years ago but because of my relative young age I was denied a replacement and placed on pain management. After losing my job recently because of the pain the VA agreed to send me for a PF knee replacement. Dr Baublitz told me to “get clean and come back and see him in 3 to 6 months if I still had pain” this was insulting, demeaning and confusing. I need a replacement to stop the pain!?

Please consider seeing another Dr. This Dr rushes through his surgeries and makes promises the cannot keep. My husband has had numerous surgeries with this Dr and has ended up worse for the wear after each .Baublitz's did the opposite of what needed done for each knee surgery and he is now going to have more surgeries to fix Baublitz's mistakes. My husband also went to Baublitz's with shoulder pain and was told nothing was wrong. Through his second opinion he found out there were bone problem.

Excellent surgeon. Great bedside manner. Felt like a human instead of an insurance payment. Would highly recommend Dr. Baublitz. I thank him for helping me return to my previous normal life. He even had my husband and I laughing before going into surgery.
