Dr. Seth Lipka, MD

I had an appointment before lunch (a mistake) and after waiting nearly an hour he he called me in. I mentioned my needs and concerns, he scheduled the colonoscopy I needed and barely explained what was my main concern; fatty liver disease. I felt like was in the room for 5 min and he did not even sit down. I had to ask him questions outside the room as it just felt so rushed. So frustrating when doctors do this. They need to slow down.

Easy check in. Immediately seen. Same day appointment. Fixed my problem!

Went in for what is clearly hemorrhoidal bleeding. An hour after appt time he comes in & almost immediately says we are doing a colonoscopy. I’m taken aback & say no I don’t think that’s necessary. Immediately his attitude flips & he becomes hostile & aggressive. Talks over me very loudly & won’t listen to symptoms, claims I have symptoms that I DON’T have, & then says I also need an endoscopy so might as well do them at the same time. Fine on endo as I have a condition that needs it. Condescending & won’t listen again when I try to explain my symptoms of that & what alleviates them. Absolutely don’t trust him to do ANY kind of procedure with that attitude, no exam or even listening to symptoms before trying to schedule an invasive surgery. Only out for money. The nurse immediately understood & scheduled my endoscopy with a different doctor. For the bleeding, I’m now seeing an ACTUAL colorectal Dr with proper bedside manner who examines patients before trying to do invasive surgery!

I was his first patient of the day. He came in 36 minutes after my appointment and left within 3 minutes. He didn’t listen to any of my symptoms or pain I was having. I handed him my blood work and he literally didn’t even look at it. He then handed me 3 brochures and was like here are things you can read up on….not even sure if they apply to me! I am shocked seeing these positive reviews!

Recently had a procedure done by Dr. Lipka - he's the best in the area. I've been to other GI docs and he's very compassionate and caring. Took his time with me, explained what he was going to do and his follow up with me was second to none. Glad I took the time to go with him!

The worse doctor I have ever seen. After waiting over 2.5 hrs to be seen, he came into the room without ever reading the new patient forms I filled out. He was only interested in scheduling me for a colonoscopy even though I had one 2.5 years prior, if he had only read my record he would have known that. Did not listen to my symptoms nor did he examine me. Spent about 7-8 minutes with me. He prescribed medication but when I got to the pharmacy he had never called it in. Had to make two phone calls just to get it. He was a total waste of time and needs more education on how to treat patients and listen to their symptoms. He was only looking for money.

Listened and was very concerned for my health care. Very proactive and I am fortunate to have found this talented doctor.

Personable, answered all my questions. I’m glad he’s young and I hope he will stay in Fort Myers! It’s my first time where the communication on the portal with a doctor worked, and in a timely manner. I thought of two additional questions after an appointment. I sent a message, figuring I’d probably not hear back and have to phone the main line. One question was answered immediately and the other before the day was out.
